Other messages say heavy clashes are under way in locations away from Tehran...
At any rate, it is never a joke when people who go onto the streets, no matter what country, and peacefully demonstrate their dissatisfaction with an election that they are gunned down, beaten to death and stabbed to death.

As a general rule, and I know I didnt point this out in the original guides, all proxies should be setup with the following options in the Squid config file:
* Blocking of IRI government ipblocks [1]
* Allowing of Iran ipblocks [2]
* 10 random chosen inbound ports
* CONNECT support
* No X-Forwarded-For headers
* No client stats
* Logging to /dev/null
* Turn SSL off its blocked from Iran anyway
If youre running a proxy already, please change these settings. If youre running a proxy on a default port (81/8080/8181/9090/3218) then change the port and shoot me off an e-mail at update@austinheap.com.
I will post a sample configuration file, as I know there have been a lot of concerns.
Also, I want to say sorry for not being able to respond to all the tweets and e-mails yet, although Im going as fast as possible given all the other pressing demands! Ive got thousands of emails to sort out, and the outpour of support and people helping out has been amazing. Together were capable of doing amazing things so thank you to everyone who is helping make a difference.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

HA! don’t you just love an optimist like Dogbarktree?
Yeesh...how does he think a change occurrs...Oh, I know...the Mullahs tyrannically control a country for decades and one morning .....POOF !..the regime has become a secular democracy.
“Thats why theyre protesting in the millions. They want the mullahs out.”
That is how I am reading it. I don’t think they liked either choice for president, they want to return to their Persian roots. I met several Iranians in 1979 after their families sent them to the US when all hell broke loose and the mullahs took over. They want their country back!
I can relate to them very well at this time in history.
It comes as no surprise to me that the Mullahs have been forced to recruit fanatic goons from other Arab nations to try and keep the lid on dissent in their own country.
An alienated and alien shock force, totally dependent on the goodwill of their sponsors and secretly or openly despising the native population of the country can be counted on to use maximum force in their sponsors interests — because they know full well they will be the first exterminated if those sponsors do lose power.
I have been watching for any indication of which way the regular armed forces of Iran are going to jump. They have never been trusted by the Mullahs who choose to rely on the Revolutionary Guards for security.
Anyone seen any indicators?
Some protesters have already been killed by government police squads. I read somewhere today that the military machine is mobilizing/gearing up to force the protesters to stand down.
If the mullahs do this, they still lose, as they will have proven that they're running an iron-fisted dictatorship, without question.
From that point forward, they will have zero legitimacy in the eyes of the people, and things will go downhill from there.
As if they weren't bad enough already.
Bump!
Remember that our DOD considers them to be "low level terrorists" for protesting.
The people of Iran are most definitely expressing their desire for regime change. It’s what people do when they just can’t take another injury from their government.
Nothing will change there (or here) without an overwhelming show of resistance from the people.
The Founders were absolutely correct, that all power rests with The People, whether codified into that country’s constitution, or not.
Torchured = Tortured?
Remember that the Iranian people live under a tyrannical government. They don't have the same rights codified into their country's constitution as we do.
It took a very long train of usurpations, abuses, and offenses against them to bring them to the point of mass protests against their government.
Sadly, as far as US support for their cause is concerned, the timing couldn't have been worse for them.
The first photo looks like 50 or 60 thousand in view by proportional count, and with the bad angle, it could be double that.
Yeah, now I have to figure Ahmanutjob won.
I post them as they come up....folks don’t always have editors and spell checkers.
LOL!
