A ship named Kang Nam left a port in North Korea Wednesday and could be carrying missile parts or nuclear materials in violation of a U.N. Security Council resolution.

The U.S. military is tracking a flagged North Korean ship suspected of proliferating weapons material in violation of a U.N. Security Council resolution passed last Friday, FOX News has learned.

The ship, Kang Nam, left a port in North Korea Wednesday and could be carrying weaponry, missile parts or nuclear materials. The U.S. military has been tracking it since its departure.

"It is believed to be 'of interest,'" a senior U.S. official told FOX News. This is the first suspected "proliferator" that the U.S. and its allies have tracked from North Korea since the United Nations authorized the world's navies to enforce compliance with a variety of U.N. sanctions aimed at punishing North Korea for its recent nuclear test.

North Korea, though, has said that any attempt to board its ships would be viewed as an act of war and promised "100- or 1,000-fold" retaliation if provoked.

The Kang Nam is known to be a ship that has been involved in proliferation activities in the past -- it is "a repeat offender," according to one military source.

The Norks are testing us. Its probably an empty ship, just trying to cause an international incident.

Bad timing for the secretary of state to bust her elbow

Maybe the US Navy could disguise themselves as Somali pirates and board the ship.

You know, for plausible deniability.

Maybe Kim would be stupid enough to fall for it and nuke the pirates 1000%.

Voila. Two problems solved.

Big whoop. What the hell did we do when they actually test fired the first rocket last month???? That's right, they turned off the radar, refused to track it. An act of good will Obama called it.

Now they follow a ship? Makes me sick. The ass clown is going to get us killed!

NORK is ALREADY at war, having UNILATERALLY rescinded the Armistice of 1953 a couple of weeks ago. They did not return to a state of war for nothing. As with the ‘Phoney War’ of 1940, the world is waiting for one side to initiate hostilities or percieved hostilities thus renewing the military conflict.

NORK seems to have convinced the world that it is indeed prepared to proceed with nuclear and chemical weapons war.

And, the Obama team has shut down missile defense programs to be resumed, according to Gates, several years from now in a reorganization of missile defense programs. Untimely and dangerous.

We ought to seize the NORK ship on the high seas, just like those little weasels did to the USS Pueblo over 40 years ago. You know what they say about paybacks.
