Sen. Barbara Boxer of California instructs Brigadier General Michael Walsh not to call her "ma'am," the sign of respect shown by members of the military towards non-military ... she wants to be called "Senator," because gosh darn it, she worked hard for that position.
No further comment necessary, but I'm looking forward to them anyway.
Words fail.
Of the many insulting things in our society, the fact that our military officers have to answer to ignorant twits like Boxer is one of the worst.

I’ve found that the keyword search is a pain in the tail - I suggest using title searches:

"Barbara, you ignorant slut....."
Through the sheer stupidity of the electorate.
She’s got a lot of chutzpa!! Fact of the matter the General has done far more to serve his country with little monetary gain which you can’t say for “M’ame” Boxer.
Or perhaps Dominatrix? The thought of her in a black slingshot outfit with a whip curdles the blood.
She is from California, she may have had the surgery.
Thanks!
Dear Senator Babs,
FYI, when someone in the military calls you "Ma'am", it's a sign of RESPECT. The title is not sexist, nor is it degrading. However, your demand to be called SENATOR was both elitist and demeaning to the Brigadier General. Please apologize to the Brigadier General NOW!
I hope you and all your tedious, elitist, and arrogant buddies get the boot during the next election. We the common folk, those with no particular rank or title, are sick of the daily displays of American Royalty. You don't work for us - you work for yourselves - with us footing the bill for your Hollywood style tantrums. Please get over yourself!
With all the respect due someone who DEMANDS to be called SENATOR,
****** (no title, just common rabble)
If she insists on him calling her Senator, then I think he should use her full name, that being, Senator A-hole. I live in CA, and I have had first hand experience with this corrupt fool. In my opinion, calling her Ma’am was well beyond her “pay grade” as Obama would say.
Remember the scene in Blazing Saddles where the wonderful Madeline Kahn is performing as Lily von Schtupp, and she comes across the cowboy who has his feet up on stage?
She asks his name.
“Tex, Ma’am.”
She says, “Well, Tex MA’AM, get your feet off the stage.” (That’s shortened, but that always cracked me up. I wonder if he minded being called Tex Ma’am.)
Clever.
Excellent.
He should have called her ‘idiot’, which is what she, and the voters she represents, are.
Senator Schnauzer will do.
Whatever, you fat bridge troll.
I personally loved her “I worked very hard to get that title.” I’ve lived in Californa since her first Senate race. Yeah, it’s real hard work not to run on YOUR record but to smear your opponent every six years. She’s always losing in the polls until about a week before the election, and then produces dirt on her opponent.
But the GOP in California is to blame as well. It’s like they’ve given up and refuse to make her run a real campaign and answer for all her crap.
My mail salutation to her this morning was “Hi Barbie’. Closed with “Doing a great job, sweetie.”
Piece of crap.
Sometimes, they just make it too easy.
