LMAO... I am DAMN proud of my nerd score! I am back in school now and maintaining a 4.0 GPA. So I am a HAPPY nerd too! LOL
I followed the rules ;)
The SOB-in-Chief will probably try to date me.
I followed the rules ;)
Yes, you sure did :-)
(Rules are important. With them, there's anarchy)
And that 4.0 GPA of yours is great. Good going!
Better change your number... :-)
Thank you!
And the GPS coordinates of my back door...
Since the uproar over the intrusiveness of the 2000 Census, and lack of compliance, the long form has been separated from the short form and named the American Community Survey. Moreover, it is to be a "rolling survey" which the CB along with their enablers in Congress will try to "mandate" on a much more regular basis with their threats of fines, etc. for non-compliance.
Apparently, unelected big corporations and unelected social research entities have managed to bribe our legislators vis a vis contributions to their campaigns to pump enough funds into the the Census Bureau to enable it do their telemarketing for them.
We need to know the names of those legislators responsible for this outrage.
At least one judge has cited the census snooping in the early 1900's as a "precedent" that somehow justifies this present snooping.
Precedent my foot!
As far as I am concerned, the snooping done in the early 1900's or at any other time in the past here in the U.S.A. was just as much an unconstitutional violation of the Fourth Amendment as the snooping being attempted today.
That's MY precedent!
I'm not in any way implying that it is necessarily through any fault of their own, but it is unbelievable how many people don't know what the American Community Survey is....or that the American Comunity Survey is not the same thing as the constitutionally mandated ten-year Census for enumerative purposes.
The Census Bureau is apparently counting on this ignorance.
The reason they are sending this unconstitutional American Community Survey snoop-doc on a "random" basis is so that they can isolate people and intimidate them into compliance. And believe you me, if they get away with this, the questions will become more voluminous and more intrusive.
If a person is applying for government benefits, then there is a legitimate need for that person to reveal personal data to prove that he/she qualifies for said benefits, but otherwise the only use for such data is for the purpose of looting and controlling.
The clowns in Congress who supported the ACS and their lackeys/hacks at the Census Bureau need to be unequivocally re-educated with the fact that we the tax payers do not work for them. They work for us! They are the ones feeding off the public trough, not us!
When are WE THE PEOPLE going to stop letting the tail wag the dog?
Here is the 2010 Census Document with the "short form" including the seven questions that will be asked.

Here is the content of the American Community Survey.

I leave it to you, my dear fellow FReepers, to decide whether or not these questions accompanied by threats of fines for refusing to answer them are beyond the pale......and if you are willing to answer them. If the CB threatens people with fines for not responding to the American Community Survey, lawyers should be consulted, stern letters should be sent to Representatives and Senators and if possible, people should make the CB take them to court in order to collect said fine. A nice loud public court case.....and make sure to invite all manner of news people, people in the neighborhood, etc.
Here are some other links having to do with more reasons for non-compliance with the American Community Survey except to say how many voting age persons are residing at one's household.

Are we going to behave like AMERICANS.....or are we going to behave like the cowering inhabitants of some socialist third world crap hole!!!
(That is because the presidential elections are in 2012 and 2016)
I'm sure someone did come 'round. You may have not been home, in which case they talked to your neighbors or estimated the number of rooms and bedrooms and other information.
I hear that’s kind of tough... :-)
No, it doesn’t. Still, closing shop is a very destructive thing to do.
I agree with your thoughts here, and appreciate the addresses for more information.
Yes, IMO, the Constitution is the precedent, not some lame dingo ruling from the early 1900s that was dead wrong back then too.
I also think it’s a good idea to start talking this up.
For Race, I always fill in the blank with “Human” because we are all Humans and we are members of the Human race.
If they ever try to challenge me in court I can get any scientist who will agree with me, I am a Human and I am a member of the Human race. So unless the Prosecution can claim I am a blood sucking reptilian alien from outer space I am safe!
And Race is a giant messed up construct, take away the first few millimeters of skin and we are all pretty much the same anyways. It is just Culture that is different. That and a few very minor genetic variations, if you can breed with any other human then you are the same race/species.
You have your cultures that value freedom and your cultures that value oppression of women and death to the non-believers.
The Race option should be removed from all government forms.
