Bush takes swipes at Obama policies

ERIE, Pa. | Former President George W. Bush fired a salvo at President Obama on Wednesday, asserting his administration's interrogation policies were "within the law," declaring the private sector - not government - will fix the economy and rejecting the nationalization of health care.

"I know it's going to be the private sector that leads this country out of the current economic times we're in," the former president said to applause from members of a local business group. "You can spend your money better than the government can spend your money."

I'm sure you would have preferred the Medicare plan the Democrats were trying to push thru that Bush watered down as much as possible. He did exactly what Reagan did...push back as hard as possible, get the Democrats to give up as much as you can, sign the thing and move on.

And what part of holding schools, teachers and students accountable trouble you most?

Since all the TARP funds will be paid back by the end of the year WITH INTEREST just like Bush said, what is your gripe with that?

You need to get a new response to these threads, this same crap over and over is hugely boring. You should be ashamed to constantly trash a man who spent every waking minute attempting to promote and protect this country. A man whose speeches never contain the words "me" or "I", but "this country" and "America".

I don’t whine .. and no one’s forcing you to do
anything.

Yep, President Reagan, a man of ultimate decency,
gentility and class, would think you an embarrassment.

“W” did not show enough stones when it came to curtailing Social Security. He had the window of opportunity in 2004 and he backed off. That was not leadership.

You're the embarrassment, bozo!

Reagan left the country in great shape.

Bush41 gave us Clinton. Bush43 gave us Obama. Case closed.

He should have pushed harder.

Why didn’t he?

We got nothing, and my children and especially my grandchildren are being robbed even as they lay in their cradles.

I think a cure might be 4 years of Barack Hussein Obama and his lovely bride.

I guess the Democrats had nothing to do with it.

Its too bad at times President Bush was not able to do more but Im hoping that the same checks and balances that got in his way will soon thwart the will of the current President.

Its called life

GW, like you, but why did you start opening the flood gates? Should have just lowered income taxes.

???

That's the first thing he did.
