Thanks, TroopRally.
Is FreeTheHostages still in DC?
It would be great to see her again.
ATTENTION FREEPERS!
We have another FReeper added to our T-shirt drawing! It is Freeper “Libstriper”!
Now just three more Freepers are needed for our total of 10 for the drawing! If you have booked your room at the Sheraton, get your ticket now to enter the drawing!
MORE GOOD NEWS!
We have another T-shirt drawing entry! Freeper “Peter Kessler” has joined the other 7 Freepers in the drawing!
Just two more Freepers needed (who have booked a room) to purchase their Convention Ticket and enter the drawing! Ten Freepers is our goal to draw for the winner!
GETTING CLOSE NOW! :)
I didn’t see this thread last night, I just purchased my ticket.
Maelstorm,
Don’t feel bad. I was not even in a bad mood when I saw the ticket price and still got upset about it.
We were going to go, but changed our mind, because we don’t have enough time and money to do so, but there will be a bunch of tea parties going on around the country, I hope.
So, we are just going to donate $300.00 to the original Tea Party organization - (still WAY below our cost to attend the FR function and not feel guilty because we helped the cause?)
Doing what we can and how much we can.
Chong
You make a good point! Lemme think about it. Thanks. :-)
It would be great to meet you, Chong.
Hope you can make it.
I couldn’t find it on their website, do we know how much they charge for parking and internet access?
GREAT! You just joined the other eight FReepers in the Free Republic T-shirt drawing!
We just need ONE MORE FREEPER (who has booked a room) to get their Convention ticket to enter the drawing!
NEW THREAD!

I agree, each state should organize several buses. We arrive in DC. Stay there for 24 hours and then we leave so we can all return in time for work on Monday.
I've got some good news, honey
Two tickets to a Convention Hall !
It's a very swell affair
Famous Freepers will be there
I'll wear my blue slacks, my white shirt, my red tie
You'll wear your Flag earrings like a femme fatale
Ain't no doubt about it, babe
We'll be the best dressed in the Hall
I'll be down to get you in a hybrid, honey
You better be ready 'bout a quarter to eight
Now, dearie, don't be late
We gotta be there when the Anthem's playin'
Remember when we get there, honey
The Speakers I'm gonna hear them all
I'm gonna jump up from my seat
When we hear some real red meat
In Fall at our Freep Convention Hall
There'll be Freepers from across the fruited land
All gathered in a patriotic band
We'll congregate, be up too late, that's no surprise
The Mall Tea Party will be the Grandest Prize !
So, be ready when I honk the horn, petunia
The Freepers I wanna meet them all
Gonna lose those Obama blues
We'll make the evening news
In Fall at the Freep Convention Hall !
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, HOO YAH! ORDER YOUR TICKETS NOW FOR THIS GRANDEST FREEP EVENT EVER !

Have you tried checking the rates from GGG to DFW to DC? I fly out at least 10 times a year and found that if you book it right, flying out of GGG is just as cheap (sometimes the rates are so good, it is cheaper to fly from GGG to Little Rock than to drive.)
would that I could - it would be a good education for my seven-year-old son. I want him to be proud of the USA and to have every hope and opportunity I did growing up. I do not want him to be a drone of the state. I want him to be a free man of free mind and body who is able to channel his moral energy and creativity into many worthwhile causes, all under the umbrella of the blessings bestowed on the USA, should we so wise in this generation as to sustain them and pass them on to the generations to come.
I can tell from your post that you are an excellent parent and I am sure your son will grow up to be a fine young man you will be so very proud of!
Although I have no children of my own, I was blessed to have had 43 years of teaching darling 5 to 7 year olds! :)
