Deer and moose are surely a driving hazard. No concept of moving cars whizzing by....just walk right out in traffic. Up here, hitting a moose is usually a totaled car and a trip to the hospital.

I nearly hit a deer a couple of years ago - never saw him until he was already past me - missed him by inches.
