Abtahi, Rafsanjani, and Montazeri, may soon find themselves out of jobs, and perhaps house arrest.

All these problems go back to Carter helping remove the Shaw to bring in the Muslim theocracy instead. That would be "Shah".

Yes it is very disturbing. Mad Dog's henchmen are having a great time of it by all indications. Wonder how many more planes loaded with Hizbollah will be flown into the capital in the days to come.
Then again. They probably have sufficient numbers of radical Islamic goons to kill off half the Iranian population if need be.

Apparently the mullahs fear of Mousavis willingness to loosen the leash a bit on the population causing then end of their control caused them to insure that Ahmadinejad would Don't forget the close relationship the Iranians have with Putin's regime. Putin knows that Glasnost was the beginning of the end for the Soviet Empire. They can't give an inch or they will start an avalanche they can't control.

Iran is an object lesson on what happens when only the thugs have guns.
The Basiji better pray that disgruntled Army guys don't "misplace" a truck full of AKs and ammo.

I’m sure Jimmy Carter is going to be very upset about this. Wasn’t he a “Meddler” once himself in Iran. I thought Obama said today that Presidents don’t meddle in Iran’s affairs. hmmmmmmmmm. Short memory.

Jimmy Carter is in large measure to blame for everything that’s happened in Iran since 1979. He is a total dunce, who doesn’t know when to shut up.

Abtahi has already been arrested, according to the article. I read that Rafsanjani was under house arrest, but he went to Qom the other day so I dunno if that’s accurate.
