If you've ever wondered why the mainstream media didn't show much curiosity about how 20 years of attending Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church shaped President Barack Obama, there is a perfectly logical explanation. Obama wasn't really there.
According to Richard Wolffe, an MSNBC contributor and former Newsweek columnist that covered the Obama presidential campaign for the weekly magazine, people don't have to worry about the rantings and ravings of Obama's controversial preacher having any impact on his world view because he wasn't there.

Maybe he was down at Farrakhan’s mosque...
didn’t he dedicate a book to the guy? didn’t the guy marry him and his wife? Baptize his kids?
Well, I’m relieved. Phew!
The Head Loon is not much of anything.
Are these people out of their minds??
The previously Muslim BHO clearly joined Trinity United Church for political purposes as it was the biggest politically connected “church” in South Chicago when he moved into the city to begin his career as a community agitator and political organizer. It was all done for a purpose.

Should we ask what religious services he attends ... perhaps on Fridays?
During the campaign, the One website portrayed him as a regular at Trinity. Even specified which service he attended (11 o’clock).
White guilt really has gotten out of control.
I don’t know, (shakes head) just when you think it can’t get any weirder...lol.
You can see that just about anywhere with any Megachurch.
Nobody notices those guys but they're there.
Try that in a small congregation and people will question your sanity and/or propriety.
Still, Obama picked up enough street cred that he adopted the "Don't Say Nothin' Bad About The Brothers" doctrine and he's using it now with the Dictator in Iran. He wants us to belive that will keep the dictator from getting more vicious.
You said it. Barry’s religion is “Baraq Obama”.
He’s not a Muslim, as some claim, and not a Christian, as he claims.
He’s definitely not one of Jesus’ sheep. He doesn’t even acknowledge that He is the Son of God who came in the flesh. (1 John 4)
President-elect Barack Obama said in 2004 while he was a state legislator running for a U.S. Senate seat that he attended services at Trinity United Church of Christ every week.
This is in contrast to what Obama, as a presidential candidate, said this year after controversial anti-American remarks by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright surfaced. Obama then told news outlets that he did not attend the church frequently and was not aware of Wright's comments.
The comments from Obama about his church attendance appeared in the transcript of an interview posted Tuesday on the religious news Web site Beliefnet.com. The interview was conducted on March 27, 2004 by Chicago Sun-Times religion writer Cathleen Falsani for a story on Obama's faith, but the interview was not released in its entirety until now.
One of the churches that I became involved in was Trinity United Church of Christ, Obama said in the interview. âAnd the pastor there, Jeremiah Wright, became a good friend. So I joined that church and committed myself to Christ in that church.
Obama began attending the church in 1988 and formally joined Trinity in 1992. Falsani asked, "Do you still attend Trinity?"
Obama answered, "Yep. Every week. 11 clock service. Ever been there? Good service. I actually wrote a book called Dreams from My Father," it's kind of a meditation on race. Theres a whole chapter on the church in that, and my first visits to Trinity."
That is in direct contradiction to what he has said throughout this campaign year.
