LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A deputy prosecutor in Arkansas says the man charged with capital murder in the beating death of a TV anchorwoman has confessed to the killing.
Curtis Vance is charged in the beating death last October of Anne Pressly, an anchorwoman for KATV in Little Rock. Pressly survived five days after she was found severely beaten in her home.

He confessed three times, then he testified at a hearing that he was forced at gunpoing to confess. Never heard of DNA, I guess.
In Little Rock, there is a lot of intrigue and a lot of rumors about there being much more to this case than meets the eye.
So what are the rumors?

Someone mentioned Topix on another thread today. There are some lengthy discussions there about it. Involving someone VERY famous from Little Rock whose wife is at least from the same town as Vance, and possibly related to him. When I first heard it, I thought it seemed outrageous, but there are some things that are hard to explain any other way. I hope the rumors aren’t true, but they’ve seemed to pop up in a lot of places and don’t really die.
But you don’t want to stay on that Topix thread too long, it’s been hijacked by one person who carries on long strange intimate discussions about herself.
