Stop shouting, it’s juvenile.

Remember two parts of statistics are games played and penalty minutes. Both parts of the instigator rule have existed for all of Malkin’s career, both parts result in suspensions for players, yet Malkin has never been suspended. If Malkin made a habit of what you say he makes a habit of he’d be getting suspended regularly and he’d have a fat stack of PIM (remember the PIM stat is based on assessed not served, so a 10 minute misconduct at the end of the game goes on the stat sheet).

This isn’t about agreeing to disagree. You’re making specific accusations on Malkin, not just general immaturity but a specific kind of immaturity, which would show up on the stat sheet but doesn’t. You say he attacks players after loses, his stats say he doesn’t, and that DOES show up in stats, they aren’t meaningless.

Yes we are all happy when our team wins and sad when they lose. Yet in post 47 you complain about Malkin doing just that. And it is JUST that you complained about because there’s nothing in that post about attacking players, only about him grinning and pouting.

I understand perfectly well what you’re saying. You made a silly statement in post 6, and instead of being man enough to admit it was silly you’ve tried to nuance it into something else. But that something else is false and flies against the facts. I throw the statistics about because they DO show you to be wrong. And all your shouting won’t change that. But it is damn funny watching the guy whining about everybody else being juvenile in a discussion about maturity behaving in such a juvenile immature way.

Why should I "admit" it if I don't think it's silly. At least I'm man enough to stick around and try to defend myself instead of skulking off like people tend to do when attacked. And I had to shout (once!) to get people's attention to focus on what I'm saying - how many posts did it take to do that, huh?

I feel I'm being hit with player statistics when I'm talking a completely other subject. I never mentioned Malkin's stats, but someone brought them up to defend him, and I get accused of changing the subject.
Crosby has great stats, too, and he pulled a few "stunts" in the Finals, as did a few Wings. But I never said anything bad about Crosby, did I? Now I wonder why that is? Maybe he didn't attack a player after the game was over? I happen to like Crosby and think he's a good player and valuable asset to the Pens - unfortunately the Pens fans here will not give me credit for congratulating the Pens on their win and praising Crosby - no, you'd rather focus on what I said about Malkin, a slight observation that maybe he doesn't belong in the NHL (I'll add "yet"), and it's only an observation. Continue the attacks and I'll continue the defense.
It's only incomprehensible to some because they only see one aspect of what I've said and can't get off that.

So what if I think Malkin isn't mature. Lots of immature players play hockey, even in the NHL. And for that, I'm called "stupid", an "ass", and other names. When did call anyone else a name? Show me, and I will apologize immediately!
