Watch live broadcast of Benjamin Netanyahu's speech on the internet HERE from Bar-Ilan University in Israel.
10:00 a.m. Pacific, 1:00 p.m. Eastern
Concessions my a**!!!
What I heard was IF the Palestinians do what we’ve asked them to do for 60 years...then we;ve got an agreement. If not? ppppfffttttt...
What little I was able to hear seemed to indicate a good
tough stance on the part of Israel. Plain speaking.
Need to see a transcript.
Bingo, sofa ;)
I am Bibi b****h
freakay!!!
Yeah too bad Dave Chappelle burn out on his show I think he could have done two more season of that show
"If we get this guarantee for demilitarization and necessary security arrangements for Israel, and if the Palestinians recognize Israel as the state of the Jewish people, we will be willing in a real peace agreement to reach a solution of a demilitarized Palestinian state alongside the Jewish state," he said.
If there was one word that TOTALLY destroyed ObaHamas' speech in Cairo, that perfectly illustrated just how his disingenuous he is, it is the "Islam has a long history of tolerance" tripe.
The fact that the media didn't pounce on that, is pretty remarkable, although not surprising.
You got it!
“President Obama not likely to back down on this issue (settlements)”.....
So what!!!
Sounds like the 0ne got smacked down. I didn’t see the speech, just kept refreshing here. Thanks to those that kept me updated! :)
The media won’t do anything. They are O’s poodles.
Wonder if the true jew haters over at DU, Daily Kos and Huffington Post heads are exploding yet?
LOL!!
Ok here’s what I think. Sorry for any bad grammar/misspellings.
I cringed at all the nonsense about solar power, tourism, inviting foreign Arabs to help the Palestinians. Wonderful, more enemies in Judea & Samaria making them richer. Please.
I like that he said that emnity against Israel isn’t just over Judea & Samaria but against everything. I don’t like his making it seem that this is a Palestinian problem in particular, since they all feel this way. Including Egypt, which he praised.
I like that he seems to be coming out against withdrawing. I don’t like how he spoke of the uprooting of the Jews of Gaza like it was a noble gesture met with bad faith from the Palestinians. It was not a noble gesture, it was immoral.
I like how he insisted that Israel is a Jewish state. I don’t like the mad obsession with getting Arabs to mouth the words “we recognize Israel”. Even if you somehow twist their arms to say it, no one does. So what has been accomplished? Spare me these idiotic “victories”.
I like that he came out against the right of return of Palestinians & his emphasis that this land is our heritage. I don’t like what he said about the holocaust. Again, he is still connecting us to the land because of persecution of Jews. This is our land even if we were the most privileged people in the world. Pogroms or no pogroms. This is our holy land. Does anyone believe in our religion anymore, or is everything based on secular premises & themes?
When he says he wants the palestinians to live next to us under 2 different flags, he means in Judea & Samaria? *@#*#*@ I know he doesn’t mean Jordan since he just praised them for “peace”. (gag)
So now he says the palestinian state that he just said he supports, must be totally disarmed. So he is in favor of basically the same as we have now, an eternal occupation of Palestinians on our land. I know that he’s laying out conditions that are unacceptable to Palestinians in the hopes that they will reject it & we can continue doing what we are doing now (which is nothing). I didn’t need some speech to know this about Israeli “policy”.
I like that he says Jerusalem must be united & our capital. Although when he says “religious freedom for all”, I know that means we should forget about ever taking down that abomination that sits over our temple.
“No intention of expropriating additional land” what disgusting language. He accepts their premise that this is Palestinian land & the settlers are “expropriating” their land.
He shows his delusion again when he claims that a better economy would strengthen Palestinian moderates, whatever that means. As if more money would make Palestinians accept that Israelis are on their land. Get real, please.
Praising Begin & Sadat as if that is something to be proud of. I bet he imagines we will be praising him in the future for Hebron. Well not me.
& I heard that cursed word peace one too many times again.
GREAT speech.
He quietly contradicted Obama’s Cairo address which was basically the Arab/Muslim narrative of Israel’s illegitimate creation. He stated in no uncertain terms that the settlers are pioneers not villains and that the settlements are NOT the obstacle to peace.
With the English simultaneous translation I could not hear for sure if he ever used the word “medinah” (state) to describe the Palestinian territory that could be created. I do not think he did. I think he referred to it as territory refusing to call it a state.
He traced Israel’s legitimacy to God’s gift, Israeli presence there over millenia, and Zionist aspirations from Hertl’s time.
He said - the Holocaust was not the cause of the founding of the state, it was the lack of the state that caused the Holocaust.
Hillary’s head may have just exploded.
Wow..thanks for posting that pic!
