Protests Greet Ahmadinejad Win in Iran: 'It's Not Possible!'
Time ^ | June 13, 2009 | Nahid Siamdoust

Iran's Interior Minister announced Saturday that incumbent president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had won 63.29% of the vote in the nation's closely watched presidential poll. The announcement, greeted with widespread skepticism by Iranian opposition supporters and by foreign analysts, has brought thousands of people onto the streets where they have encountered a strong police presence and the threat of violence. (See TIME's photos of election day in Iran)

Rumors of vote rigging had been flying for hours before the official announcement. At about 11 p.m. Friday, less than an hour after polls closed, reformist challenger Mir-Hossein Mousavi held a press conference and declared that he knew — based on the observations of his campaign officials at polling booths — that he had won a majority of the vote. But rigging was already underway, said Mousavi, who warned that he and the people would stage mass protests if their votes were not respected. This is why States in the US should NOT allow the federal government to dictate how they will run elections.
What has happened in Iran has already happened in the US on a smaller scale, and is ramping up at an alarming pace.

Not to be forgotten is Obambi’s 2008 campaign promise that if he was elected he would meet face to face, without preconditions, with A’jad, Chavez and Kim Jong Il. Scary proposition.

"soon the Bamster will have access to all OUR cell phones"

He already does. Do a Bing.com search (nice Microsoft search vs. Google - the Obamunism supporter) on "FBI cell phone spy". As long as your battery is in your phone, they can use it as a microphone, even if it's "off".

Yeah, more like ignorant...But this election was revolutionary in the sense that it was the highest turnout and the first big protest since 1979.

Reuters is reporting the protests were relatively small and easily beaten back. It seems like it’s over.

I don’t know how Obama can attribute his Cairo yawntata to what going on in Iran when his speech was in English with a smattering of Arabic and a little Farsi and blocked in Iran. They might know who he is but thats about it. Beside he’s offered little hope to Iranian opposition.
I think the Jewish election had more to do with this than Obama’s yawntendations.

The people of Iran have made their choice &, disgustingly, so have we.

Israel is on her own .. may the Almighty bless, protect & keep them.

They’re right—Nutjob didn’t win, too many Iranians despise him. Khamenei chose him and the vote was rigged.

What’s up with their banners? They say “Ahmadi[nejad]’s State.” Is that some kind of sarcasm saying Nutjob is a dictator?

Obama’s response is that he is “excited about the debate”. He said it, now he’s stuck with it.

It makes a difference that the vote was a fake, and that a lot of Iranians don’t like the fact.

Heavy handed fraud at that;a rigged vote with a spread of a percentage point or few would be easier to believe.

Just saw that. This will fuel the violence if true. I hope the people DO overthrow this dictator.
