As anyone who has/is living in a small town knows, privacy is an illusion.
True, especially in 2009.
“As anyone who has/is living in a small town knows, privacy is an illusion.”
On one hand, that is true. But in a small town, people know who is capable of what. They also know immediately when something is out of place, someone strange is hanging around etc. Small town’s watch out for one another. People like living in small towns because they afford secure predictability of surroundings and residents.
But what happens within the confines of their home is not usually open to small town observation. Neighbors do not intrude. Nor do they peer inside the home like cyber surveillance can. Online banking. shopping. communication. Personal records..... government intrusion in the name of “protecting the people” has motives way beyond crime prevention.
And anything Obama says we should trust him, that no harm will come........CANNOT BE BELIEVED! See tagline.
From someone that's always lived in small towns, I can say with certainty, that's the dammed truth. From the hospital, to the post office, there is no privacy at all.
