In 1836 Texas claimed that the Rio Grande was its western boundry. In 1841 Governor Lamar sent an expedition to establish control. They got off the Interstate, got lost and wouldn’t ask for directions. The New Mexicans had to go rescue them and take them to Santa Fe. Then they gave them all wedgies and sent them home by way of Mexico City.
