I filed my complaint and am printing out a receipt with reference number. The more who do this, the more obligated the FCC will be to follow up. But, I’m not holding my breath.

This seems to be the universal experience with Letterman.
Mine included.
Once he was funny , cutting edge even.
He has become unwatchable for all the reasons you cite.
Letterman may have experienced the personality and mood changes common to post op cardiac surgery pts.
CBS and the sponsors surely recognized that Letterman
was a different person than he used to be.
Angry, bitter , mean and unfunny.
And yet they did nothing about it.
As long as he vented his inappropriate vitriol on Republicans and George Bush , they turned a blind eye.
Until this train wreck.
Which won’t be his last , if they allow him to remain on the air.

You are so right on. Another angle to this story,
what is the response from A Rod and the Yankees.
If they are trying to be neutral, it is too late.
They have been slimed by Letterman as well.

Let's not forget something, Letterman married the mother of his kid some 5 or 6 years AFTER she had him. Letterman was in his late 50’s when that went down. Now I'm not going to say people should get married before having kids, etc. That's not my point. But who the f*ck does Letterman think he is to make these rape, knocked-up and slutty stewardess comments?

He was in his 50’s and to be blunt knocked up a dog and had a child out of wedlock.

In reply to my boycott email, Embassy Suites stated they are NOT a sponsor of the Letterman Show. They did do some small ads on the CBS website a while back but they don't sponsor Letterman per se.

Most of Letterman’s material is just plain dumb. If it weren’t for his facial expressions and mannerisms, he would hardly get any laughs. He must of learned that trick from Johnny Carson, who, despite the ‘trick’, was, IMO, vastly more talented than Letterman.

Don’t get distracted by this. They are still CBS sponsors. It’s CBS that places them with Letterman. The sponsors could complain about being placed with him. We have to make that point to them.
