I completely disagree, I think a good public hanging (figuratively speaking) from time to time is a good and necessarily thing. Demonstrate a little power every now and then so your enemies fear you. Letterman joking about the rape of a 14 year old girl certainly merits a a good spanking.

Also, we conservatives tend to abandon ours when they get into trouble with the communist MSM. I think it is long past due that we show a little loyalty to our own and take the fight to the enemy. Letterman is a perfect target making indefensible comments about a young (unpolitical) girl. If we can't go after him, what the hell good are we and what to we stand for?

I do agree that Sara should leave this battle to us. She's said her piece and risks confusing the issue if she further engages with littleman.

I think we’re on the same page with this.

I’m happy as a clam watching Letterman squirm. I see him caving in with a heart felt apologize....at first... then with a few disclaimers so it comes across as not a real apology.

I think there’s a time when Palin should stop playing the victim. Move on...let others carry up the feud if need be. She can devote her words to protecting young girls from horny old men that look like howdy doody.

I’m wondering, is there anyone out there who can resurrect a photo of Howdy Doody and paste it next to one of Letterman?

Did people bother to read all my comments? I didn’t suggest that NOTHING be done. I suggested that it needed to be more organized than a bunch of people running in circles yelling about being pissed. It needs to be organized in some fashion - there at least needs to be a list of sponsors that people can contact (thank you to the poster that did so). Ideally, specific sponsors are targeted, specific goals are outlined, and there is SOME means to measure success aside from “I vented my anger.”

The main reason that conservatives are run over isn’t because of people who, like me, ask if there is a plan which is achievable. Undirected and inefficient anger seem more likely to either cause problems or just be generally useless.
