TEHRAN - Reformist former premier Mir Hossein Mousavi claimed that he had won a landslide victory in Iran's presidential election on Friday.
"In line with the information we have received, I am the winner of this election by a substantial margin," Mousavi told a news conference in Tehran.
Only minutes earlier, close Mousavi aide Ali Akbar Mohatshemi-Pour told AFP his candidate had won 65 percent of the vote.
"According to the information received from provinces and from Tehran, Mousavi has got 65 percent of the votes cast," he said.
Mousavi has been running a neck-and-neck race with incumbent Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is seeking a second four-year term.

According to the information received from provinces and from Tehran, Mousavi has got 65 percent of the votes cast Yeah, maybe, but he's not telling us how many votes they're counting. Ahmadinejad had claimed 65% of the vote, but that's out of only 5 million ballots. Supposedly, 30-40 million will be cast.

I think that the mullahs will go with the reformer. They don’t really think Allah is going to save them from being nuked.

Send Jimmuh over there to count the vote. As soon as he declares a victor, we’ll know the OTHER guy won!

The Middle Eastern news sources are all over the place with this.
A little while ago, al-Iraqiya said Mousavi had it.
But they haven't mentioned that since.

Sorry my mistake, but I think it will be the Jewish vote that will make the difference. ;-)

Imanutjob should ask Al Franken if he has any extra ballots around that he can put in the trunk of a car in Tehran.

No they're just "ACORN." Farsi doesn't use al-. It's not related to Arabic.
