Ersland, 57, has described himself as a disabled Gulf War veteran, but The Oklahoman has learned he left the U.S. Army before the war began. Ersland left active duty with the Army in February 1989, according to military records. That is more than a year before the first Gulf War began.

Phony war vet, wow, he also claimed he was wounded in a shoot out and wore a bandage on his arm until it was revealed that he was the only one that fired a shot.

He seems to be an interesting fellow.

That's funny, I was thinking the same thing about for for actively defending armed robbers.
