Matt Lauer interviewed Gov Sarah Palin today. They talked about the gas pipe line and then got into the Letterman comment (from about the 4:00 minute mark). Sarah told it like it was when Lauer pressed her. Matt tried to excuse Letterman and Sarah said "he was naive" and then he really got interesting! Matt finally had to give in (even thou he tried to defend Letterman). Was great! REALLY WORTH LISTENING TO!

I didn’t know he had spent time with her in Alaska. Greta VanSustern came to love the Palins after spending time with them. I think they are bound to have a positive affect on people who are around them for awhile. They are so upbeat and genuine.
Great interview. She took control away from Lauer. I particularly liked when she called Obama “the one who must be obeyed”. Classic ‘Cuda...smackdown with a smile. You know Obama will hear about that and it will mess with his mind. As Dennis Miller said, she knows how to get inside his melon.
...LOL. The sad part is I've spent the last 2 weeks doing without. Nicotine withdrawal is a real party. Guess this city boy will survive.
Clearly Matt "Wower," as Rush calls him, was visibly frustrated that he couldn't rattle Sarah. He was sure giving it his best shot to do so, but Sarah owned him!
If people take Sarah's advice to stand up and defend decent behavior then these harpies' days are numbered.
Been there, done that. Best wishes.
“Its so refreshing to hear someone speak the truth on a number of topics. I loved her comment when questioned whether she should get the right of first refusal for leadership of the party: Oh, heck no! No one is entitled...
I hope Romney understands the concept of “No one is entitled”
I disagree - Matt "Wower" was clearly trying to make excuses for Letterman. Had he been interviewing Michelle Obama about similar comments that some conservative made about the Obama children, you can bet your bottom dollar that he would not have been pressing Michelle the way he did Sarah. The point is that Sara and her family were the targets of completely inappropriate comments by a gap-toothed aging pedophile wanna be and thus Wower had no reason to ask tough questions of Sarah. But I do agree that Sarah handled his inane questions with class and dignity and Wower was the one who got owned!
The one black lady, who sits in the middle, didn't defend him. In the clip I viewed she was very empathetic towards the Palins.
The chubby Bette Midler lookalike can say some pretty ignorant things though.
Will there be a country left to hope for in 43 months? Unless we come up with some ways of stopping the rats, there may never be an election in 2012.
What really ticks me off,is the fact the MSM has never mentioned the fact the reason why Sarah was in NYC in the first place.
Sarah was in NYC to raise money for children with autism.Only to have her, and her family, trashed on national TV in such a discusting manner and yet the liberal MSM still finds room to defend the comedian!...its just incredible what an upsidedown world we live in today.
like Tommy Lee jones said in the movie “ain’t no country for old men.”
Yes, there will be a country. A little worn and torn but still recognizable.
It helps to keep reminding yourself that we got through both FDR and Carter. 0bama's worse but the country is wising up. I wish it would do so much faster, though.
That's also why the inside-the-beltway, Republican "elite" hate her. Like Reagan, she has the ability to by-pass the party leaders and speak directly to the people.
Gosh she is sexy! There I said it.... to quote Mark Levin, nothing like a good looking woman with a brain.
Matt, I think didn't try to mess her up to gain points. He put out the liberal arguments regarding Letterman jokes, and she countered very well and convincingly.
Even the slutty flight attendant joke, reflects poorly on Letterman. Hope the flight attendants union will give him an ear full.
Yeah... ya gotta love her, don't ya??? :0)
I loved it.
Thanks. Atleast I’ve stopped waking up every 40 minutes at night.
