Lauer had to be careful not to defend Letterman’s disgusting joke too much for fear that he too would be seen as a dirty old man, sexist, pig.

Sarah executed a terrific smackdown on Lauer... try as he might,he couldn't get her in a corner or get her to act in a Lettermanic manner (my new word for overtly idiotic)-but he DID see her steely resolve to stick to her principles and be just who she is,and what she is-just EXACTLY what we need in a leader.

You know, Larry, and this is just my opinion, but I'd think it hard for a person to be at the Reagan Ranch or Reagan Center to give a speech and not mention the grand lady of Alaska, whom Reagan's own son, Michael, compared admirably to his father.
But that's just me, I'm sure anyone given the opportunity to speak at the Reagan Ranch will make the right decision on whether to include Sarah Palin amongst his words.
