Gov. Sarah Palin and the Today show
Today Show ^

Posted on 06/12/2009 5:12:09 AM PDT by blueyon

Matt Lauer interviewed Gov Sarah Palin today. They talked about the gas pipe line and then got into the Letterman comment (from about the 4:00 minute mark). Sarah told it like it was when Lauer pressed her. Matt tried to excuse Letterman and Sarah said "he was naive" and then he really got interesting! Matt finally had to give in (even thou he tried to defend Letterman). Was great! REALLY WORTH LISTENING TO!

Matt completely missed the point of her statement about keeping Willow away from David Letterman. He assumed she was saying that Letterman was a dirty old man who would do something to Willow. What she really meant was that Willow would kick him in the balls!

That's exactly what I thought!

I might just do that. (and you wouldn’t be the first man to long for some brown sugar from afar)

I meant in an intellectual sense. Though Star is quite alluring.

The liberals always seem to appreciate their candidates' nuance, which, I believe is French for, "saying nothing," but I love her freshness and candor.

I really miss that from all the politicians.

YYYAAAAAAYYY!
Sarah executed a terrific smackdown on Lauer...
try as he might,he couldn't get her in a corner or get her to act in a Lettermanic manner (my new word for overtly idiotic)-but he DID see her steely resolve to stick to her principles and be just who she is,and what she is-just EXACTLY what we need in a leader.

For Sarah Palin the word “vagina” is a part of the female anatomy. For Lindsay Graham the word “vagina” is an adjective.

All Lauer did was tee her up so the pukes at MSNBC could spend the entire day trashing her non-stop. Which is exactly what they’re doing.

The minute the interview was over MSNBC got the tape and used the full hour to sneer, smear and trash her. It’s their opening story at the top of every hour and they have brought in all the “Democratic Strategists” on their payroll to take turns attacking her.

she was flawless

No not flawless. She avoided Dave's pedophilic content. She should have said Willow shouldn't be near him because he is a "creepy guy who thinks joking about rape of a child is funny. Would you want your daughter near someone like that?"

Adding just that little comment could have destroyed Letterman's career. It would have been easy to say, but with the effect of tagging him as a pedophile--in his own mind if not in deeds. People NEVER forget stuff like that.

She is getting smoother and smoother in her delivery, give it a couple more years of work a best selling book and $750,000,000. in money and she will be president.

On these programs, she only has a certain amount of time to speak her piece, so I suppose, IMHO, that she has to speed up in order to keep up.
