Letterman is not the pathetic ass-hat that he is being made out to be! The pathetic folks are the idiots who watch him and think that his vile words are funny......
The stuff is already hitting the fan for Letterman and CBS. One hotel chain has stopped its advertising on CBS.
Now the American Family Association has joined in promoting the boycott. They are a large organization and are very successful with their boycotts.

No one wants to curtail Letterman’s 1A rights.
But we can make a point that other people have fee speech rights as well ... by excercising them.

He doesn’t have to be fired to make a point.
He crossed a line. Palin's daughter was at the game. She gets "knocked up" in his joke. Letterman has a right to say it and viewers have a right to turn off the carrier and stop feeding the money to it. That's about it.

What decent person will ever go into politics if this crap continues. If Letterman pisses off enough viewers, he should be fired. Hi apology was full of smarmy laughs and disgusted me as much or more than his insults. His guest, after his non-apology, made sure to throw in a “Sarah Palin is moron” comment just for more fun.

I wonder if Letterman is even REMOTELY aware of how creepy that “joke” was, and how even creepier and inexcusable his
explantion/apology was last night. What he said LAST night was actually FAR WORSE than the original joke. Last night he used the whole controversy to provide him with a platform to launch into more snarky insults, more snide remarks, and in a classic CYA move, made the Palins look like the ones who were making unfair attacks on him, implying they had no sense of humor, or enough smarts to know that he was talking about the older daughter and not the younger one.
