A driver told a blind cancer sufferer to get off his bus when a woman and her children became hysterical at the sight of his guide dog.
George Herridge, 71, told how the mum flew into a rage and shouted at him in a foreign language. A passenger explained she wanted him to get off the bus during the incident on May 20.
Mr Herridge, from Tern Close, Tilehurst, said: “Her child was kicking and screaming and someone off the bus told me her child was frightened of my dog. The driver said, ‘Look mate, can’t you get off?’
“I stood my ground. I had not done anything, my dog had not done anything and I was getting off the bus for no one.”
The retired NHS worker claimed he was forced off a bus by a driver after a similar encounter last summer.
And a day after the latest bus incident an lady began screaming “I don’t like dirty dogs” at Mr Herridge at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
A week earlier he faced further animosity from a couple at Asda in The Meadway, he said.
He is unsure what has provoked outbursts but said he thinks some have come from Asian people and that it may be due to religious or cultural differences.
If the people who were upset were Muslim, they consider dogs to be ritually unclean.
Some may have them as pets but keep them in a separate living area. Anything coming into contact with its saliva, such as clothes, must be washed seven times if they intend to pray in those clothes.
Mr Herridge said: “I do not expect any special treatment but just to be left in peace and live my life the best I can.”
Reading Buses accepted the driver was wrong but had been placed in an “impossible situation”.
Drivers have been re-instructed to convey the blind and the bus company has sought advice from the Royal National Institute for the Blind and hopes to speak with Muslim leaders.
As part of a Muslim Council of Britain project, Mufti Zubair Butt, Shar’ia advisor to Muslim Spiritual Care Provision in the NHS, admitted Muslims “require some education” on guide dogs.
In response to concerns raised about guide dogs in mid-2008, he said: “It is important that one does not impose one’s own understanding upon others, but one shows understanding and compassion for others, their needs and their views, especially in an open communal space and in a country where Muslims are living as a minority.”
If this was in the United States, it would be a huge violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Lady and her stupid brats should have been kicked off the bus.
Absolutely classic doublespeak That statement is a series of double meanings for “the faithful” and pure “what they want to hear” BS for the unbelievers. Anyone familiar with Muslim culture would recognize it.
Muslims never have and never will have any intention of respecting anything except Islam and fellow Muslims. When they have no unbelievers to attack or conspire against, they attack and conspire against one another over trivial imagined insults and arguments about who is the most faithful.
Islam IS submission, and true submission dictates that they either “kill the unbelievers wherever they may find them” or be declared apostate. Only when they've wiped out the unbelievers, divided up the loot and women or children taken for slaves, can they get back to the really serious business of killing one another.
It's that simple, everything else is just noise.

I just don’t get all the obsession with body parts & bodily functions. Reminds me of the days before Christ when there were all those rituals one had to perform. Sacrificing animals and such. If they only had a savior! Well they do but his name isn’t Mohamed.
If I am ever on a bus and someone raises a stink over someone with a dog, blind or other wise, i think i am going to raise a stink right back at them and try to rally the rest of they bystanders to my side.
This shit has got to stop. People with true genuine disabilities should not be discriminated against in the name of political correctness. And this is coming from someone who won’t pet a dog unless I can wash my hands afterwords.
The blind deserve at the very least tolerance of their helper animals and if your religion doesn’t like it then too damn bad.
Sad to watch formerly great Britain sink to this level, to pacify the muslim invaders.

How insulting. I have a muslim Yeoman in the Navy who is the best worker I have seen in 22 years. He came from Africa (green card) worked in Washington D.C. for three years. Joined the Navy, became a citizen and has been in for 5 years and is reenlisting next month. He is seriously outstanding.
Not necessarily. He was hounded off the bus the last time. This time though, he refused to budge and stayed on. Last week’s elections give me hope that Britain and the rest of Europe might still have a chance.
Dude with the dog was probably commiting a Brit hate-crime.

In the U.S. they'd go after the stupid bus driver that probably didn't have the guts to tell these A-rab freaks where to go...This bitch and her off spring would then sue the bus lines for not warning them, or clearly posting signs that sight dogs were allowed on board, and then her bloated turban wearing child would claim he had nightmares, because the doggy looked mean.
Letterman would then put these freaks on his show, and he'd applaud as they burned American flags on stage while slapping themselves about their heads.
They have nobody else but themselves to thank for their lenient immigration policies of mu slims!!!
