Rabbi: Obama Breeds Climate of Hate Against Jews
NewsMax.com ^ | 6/11/2009 | Rabbi Dr. Morton H. Pomerantz

Posted on 06/11/2009 9:21:55 AM PDT by SonOfDarkSkies

Our new president did not tell a virulent anti-Semite to travel to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington to kill Jews, but he is most certainly creating a climate of hate against us.

It is no coincidence that we are witnessing this level of hatred toward Jews as President Barack Obama positions America against the Jewish state.

Just days ago Obama traveled to Cairo, Egypt. It was his second trip in a short time to visit Muslim countries. He sent a clear message by not visiting Israel.

But this was code.

In Cairo, Obama said things that pose a grave danger to Jews in Israel, in America and everywhere.

And if his views are not vigorously opposed they will help create a danger as great as that posed by the Nazis to the Jewish people.

Just last week, Obama told his worldwide audience — more than 100 million people — that the killing of six million Jews during the Holocaust was the equivalent of Israel’s actions in dealing with the Palestinians.

This remark is incredible on its face, an insult to the six million Jews who died as a result of Hitler’s genocide — and it is a form of revisionism that will bode evil for Jews for years to come.

While Obama acknowledged that “six million Jews were killed — more than the entire Jewish population of Israel today” — his discussion about the Holocaust was followed by this statement: “On the other hand, it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people — Muslims and Christians — have suffered in pursuit of a homeland.”

“On the other hand . . . ”?

Obama’s clever construct comparing the mass genocide of six million Jews to the Palestinian struggle will not be lost on the estimated 100 million Muslims...

Joe Lieberman's secret code. NewsMax was one of the few media outlets to report that Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman took the unusual step of praising President Bush while chiding John Kerry during a recent campaign stop in south Florida.

Remarkably, Lieberman praised Bush strongly for his support of Israel. "We are dealing with a president who's had a record of strong, consistent support for Israel. You can't say otherwise," Lieberman said. He then chided Kerry. "And I think John Kerry, to reassure people, has to himself be explicit" in his support of Israel rather than having surrogates deliver the message.

So what did all of this mean? Prominent New York Reform Rabbi Morton H. Pomerantz said, "Joe Lieberman is speaking in code. Any Jew hearing that knows exactly what he is saying: 'Vote for Bush, Kerry is a bad guy.'"

Yet 80% of Jews will vote for Brack [sic] again.

First of all, we don't know at this point whether O will run for re-election in 2012. Could be that he will be so unpopular by then that Her Royal Thighness will challenge him in the 'Rat primaries or he may not choose to run again.

Also, the highest % of the Jewish vote reported by any source last year was 78%, and that result was very likely inflated due to improper sampling technique. It's likely that the true figure was in the 60s.

It's most likely that, if the economy continues to tank and Americans of all ethnic groups sense "buyers' remorse" over O's dangerous foreign policy, his % of the vote in '12 will be cut among just about all racial and ethnic groups (except perhaps Muslims, to whom he obviously panders).

What's encouraging here in the posted article is that Rabbi Pomerantz is a Reform rabbi critical of Obama on the Middle East. Regrettably, the Reform rabbinate as a whole shares a lot of the blame for Obama's "success" in the Jewish community last year. So hopefully Rabbi Pomerantz and some courageous colleagues will be educating their congregants about the real Obama in the near future.

I totally agree with your explanation regarding the percentage of Jews that voted for Zero. Orthodox Jews certainly didn’t vote for the Anti-Semite; Orthodox Jews knew what he was way before the election. The fact that Reform Jews are now seeing him for what he is helps. Let’s hope that Catholics see the error of their ways very soon. Zero has no love for Christians, Jews, gun owners, capitalists or anyone else that believes in the US Constitution or our way of life. Buyers remorse is here and gaining speed as more and more of our country is destroyed. Members of the US Congress will soon be on the buyers remorse list of the American people. As they keep supporting their Muslim God, they, too, will be voted out.

A Reform "rabbi" wrote this attack on Obama?

I mean . . . I'm having trouble wrapping my head around that idea. This guy is Reform???

Well, that does explain his describing adultery as a "crime" in quotation marks and attacking moslems for executing adulteresses (and adulterers too, one would hope) by beheading (the only death penalty allowed by Noachide Law to non-Jews), and I do wonder if he thinks observant Jewish women who wear wigs are "opressed." But we won't deal with these issues now.

This guy is taking Obama to the woodshed, and he's REFORM???

I think Gey-Benei-Hinnom just froze over!

You think the geniuses who came up with the anti-Western ideologies (read anti-white as well) thought it would stop just short of them?

Well, you know what a big Commie white-hater G-d is.

Bush one a third of the vote of Jews under 40 in 2004, but there are more older Jews than younger because of the low Jewish American birthrate, so the younger vote gets overwhelmed by the older ones who still think FDR is alive:

http://www.shalomctr.org/node/689

snip The Democratic stand-bearer did better among older age groups. Bush gained fully a third of the support of Jews under 40, while Kerry polled 59%; Jews ages 40 to 59 showed 25% support for Bush and 64% for Kerry; those 60 and older went 19% for Bush and 74% for Kerry. A separate poll of Russian Jews in New York showed majority support for Bush, Harris said. snip

You think the geniuses who came up with the anti-Western ideologies (read anti-white as well) thought it would stop just short of them? I’ll bet this rabbi lauded himself for all his anti-racism awareness and activism without realizing that it would end at his doorstep.

Do you have something to base that on, specific to the Rabbi, not just that he's a Jew. Or don't you like Navy Chaplains?

Rush talking about it now...

Yes, I heard Rush's excellent opening monologue today. He emphasized that, despite the MSM spin, the gunman at the Holocaust Museum was not a "right-wing extremist," but rather a dearanged individual who was motivated by a left radical worldview. Rush pointed to the fact that the Left has been mired in hatred of George W. Bush, the US and its military, neo-conservatives, Israel, and Jews in general for the better part of a decade. Plus, the Left (though they won't admit it outright) has a vested interest in sowing hatred, unrest, and violence among competing groups in society in order to create an unstable social climate which would be more congenial to the installment of the radical social and economic changes it seeks to impose on the nation.

Chris Matthews of NBC News began the neocon slur in 2003.

No telling how many he has radicalized to hate by now.

You and other freeper numskulls keep hammering American Jews on voting for 0bama. Why not come up with something original?

Seems freepers can now say screw Israel because American Jews vote liberal and always have. None of you said screw Israel when Bush was president but now you get to join forces with 0bama and say “screw Israel”

The shooter was a socialist, 911 Truther, hated Bush, hated Jews, and called Christianity a “Jewish plot to weaken pagan Rome.”

This is a very important point. In this position he echoes the late, unlamented Revilo P. Oliver (mach shemo! and the late, unlamented Ben Klaasen (mach shemo!) among others.

Conservatives usually claim that Communism and Nazism are the same thing. They certainly govern the same way--as totalitarians, and all totalitarian states have many commonalities, whatever their ideology. But in fact the justifying ideology of real Nazism (and not the bugbear liberals throw around, invoking every time someone prays) is indeed very, very different from that of Communism, and in fact, such people see religion and Communism as essentially linked, however hostile they are to each other.

For all its limitless atrocities and evils, the ideology of Communism begins with a claimed desire for justice and for the correction of historic injustices. And here is exactly where real Nazism parts ways with Communism and with religion itself. Nazism rejects the very concepts of morality and justice as foreign and subversive. The heart of real Nazi ideology is a glorification of strength and might as the only thing that matters. The strong must rule, the weak must perish: not only the allegedly weaker outgroups, but even the weaklings among the in-group. All must go. And the only justification for this is "the eternal laws of nature," untamed and unadulterated with the false Jewish notion of morality--of right and wrong.

A FReeper not too long ago published an article on this philosophy, the author of which said that it may be that it is not Communism, but this amoral worship of raw strength untroubled by any conscience whatsoever, that is the true "other religion" of human history. Because conservatives are anti-Communist (for very different reasons than Nazis, of course) and because the Communists themselves consider conservatives and Nazis as the same thing and persecute both, conservatives have devoted most of their time and energy to fighting the perverted justice and pseudo-morality of Communism. But this has given us a very bad blind spot with regard to another ideology even more repulsive (and which perhaps isn't quite as dangerous or as constant precisely because it is so repulsive). Conservatives should begin to familiarize themselves with this evil in order to oppose it, and the root of it is not "socialism" or "big government" but the utter rejection of any morality whatsoever.

The Anglo-French expatriate Nazi philosopher Savitri Devi (mach shemah!), who died in India as an admirer of the "aryan" religion of hinduism warned the people of India against all "Biblical religion" (among which she classified islam) as the source of all liberalism, Marxism, and decadence. This sounds absolutely incredible to American conservatives who know only Communism as an adversary, but this is a very real, though thankfully less influential, philosophy. As I said, perhaps we need to bone up on it.

There is violent conflict between Jews and moslems even though islam is closer to Judaism than chr*stianity is. Similarly, when religious people fight Communism they are still fighting someone who believe in the concept of "justice" (however twisted). What we have in the real Nazism is something so alien as to be almost unbelievable.

Couldn't join forces with GWB and say that, but you could whine about neocons and Jews and war for Israel and such. As you know, it's neither about Bush nor Obama.

Thanks...It is getting ridiculous. Every Israel post includes a chorus of idiots saying “But 78% of Jews voted for 0bama” What is implied is “why should I support Israel when American Jews vote for 0bama?”

I never heard them complain when the Jews voted for Kerry and AlGore

I may be a bit sensitive about this since I am a Catholic, and it seems that the same things are being said about Catholics as are being said about Jews. Yet here on FR we have many, many Catholics who are clearly conservative.

There's also the fact that Yiddish is my second language. :)
