Letterman has become much more political in the last 8 years. Not only did he ridicule Bush almost daily (Great Moments in Presidential Speeches), which he doesn't do with OB. He praises him in almost every political joke set-up. Also, Letterman made a fool of himself about the war and global warming. Twice, when he had Oreilly on, OR backed him into corners in which Letterman could not explain holes in his his position.
Now he continues to ridicule Bush, Cheney, and Palin regularly and only light stuff about Obama, his new hero.
Monday night he blasted Palin in both the monologue and the top-ten list. On a couple of the "jokes" there was a mumbling in the audience. I don't know why people don't blurt our boos or if they do and they're edited out.

"Now he continues to ridicule Bush, Cheney,and..."
No kidding! Wifie and I happened to stumble upon his monologue a couple weeks ago, and it was nearly unwatchable, he was still cracking angry jokes about Bush and Cheney, and they weren't even close to funny. Isn't this guy smart enough to realize he's losing at least half of his potential audience?

When McCAin went on his show to apologize, I said to myself this guy, (McCain) is toast. He looked old, arthritic and not very presidential. I still voted for him, but to give Letterman the upper hand bothered me.
Letterman is a joke. He looks more and more with each passing year like Howdy Doody. Maybe someone who knows how to do it, can post a picture of the dummy, (i.e. Howdy Doody).

It might be because of his liason with a Huff-Puffington post writer woman.

May be some NY Freepers can volunteer to become part of the Letterman audience and boo The Jerk at the appropriate time?
