My DH got a motorcycle for Father’s Day.
We homeschool and don’t have to go anywhere but to church. He can drive the new bike to work and park his truck at home.
We're empty nesters. I drive the cycle on any day that I can safely do so.
With a good pair of insulated underwear, gloves, thick scarf, and a good coat I can even ride at 38 degrees semi-comfortably.
If the price of gas does rise dramitically I can even ride in the rain. A good set of rain duds is a brand called "Frog Toggs".
They're light, breathable, and will roll up into a small package.
The bike to work will save wear and tear on the truck...not to mention saving gas and being a more enjoyable manner of transport. The truck will still be necessary for bad weather and grocery runs.
