Does anyone know if this is legal? We just got a parking ticket for parking in the grass in our own yard. The ticket says "can not park on grass or unpaved area(even if your own yard). I swear to god this is what the ticket says and its a $50 ticket that doubles to $100 then doubles to $200 Does anyone know anything about this law????
Were you blocking access to the washer and dryer on your front porch? Safety first!
I’ve seen homes all the time out here in Indiana with Cars parked (even perm.) in their grass-doesn’t bother me in the least!
I dont live in one of those fancy neighborhoods either.
I live within my means and pay all my bills on time.
I believe you....
In that case the ordinance should have specifically forbidden interfering with snowplows.
There are probably numerous cities like this in must about every state. It helps the police quickly identify cars that don't belong in the area in the middle of the night.
Telling a man what to do on his property is Communist by nature. Looks like you outed yourself.
I am amazed at all the borderline Commies here on FR telling people what to do on their own property. If you ain’t paying the taxes and upkeep, you got no say on how someone parks on their property.
“We are in Maryland. Prince Georges County”
I don’t know what the rules are in the unincorporated parts of P.G. County, but I’m sure if I parked on my front lawn in the City of New Carrollton, the city would cite me pronto.
In my neighborhood, it is okay as long as the car is up on concrete blocks and the hood is open.
Sounds like hell. Good Luck. (Btw my mower arrived from Pennsylvania that day and I mowed my lawn)
The cinder blocks under the brake drums might be your actual problem.
-the reason that I won’t kill the yellow-jacket nest on my front porch.
That thar sounds like a violation in and of itself : )
Borderline Commies????? Holy smoke..... I must fit your description.. Next, I value my property, and property value. If my neighbor, or a guy down the street parks in their yard—you can bet your last cent I will complain until someone resolves the issue.
I had a small enclosure built for my trash cans. It looks like part of the side fence but it has a cement floor and a wire roof to keep critters from tearing up my trash and spreading it around. The trash pickup men get the trash out and it saves me from having to take the cans out and put them back. I don’t even have to use cans, just plastic trash bags are enough.
Sounds like you are intimately familiar with Rio Linda. I live about 30 miles north of there so I know that Rio Lindans call those vehicles parked on the sand "artificial turf".
Totally agree with you. Amazed at all the commies outing themselves.
