Her taste for restrained elegance has earned her the title of First Lady of Fashion.
But Michelle Obama clearly felt something rather more outlandish was in order for a sightseeing trip in London yesterday.
On a visit to Westminster Abbey she wore a trendy colourful tunic embellished with ribbons and fabric flowers.

GOP_Lady - I honestly cannot believe the comments being made about this outfit. They have GOT to be blind. It looks like she walked into JoAnne Fabrics and grabbed a few bolts of lace and other embellishments; and she still wears THE BELT. Gag Me. She’s actually an attractive woman and I wish she’d go on Oprah and get a fashion makeover. These people saying she looks nice mock out all kinds of celebs for stuff that is not nearly as awful. In fact, a few years back there was the girl in the swan outfit at the Oscars and that was nicer than this monstrosity.
Now THAT’S hilarious. I think you hit the mark.
“Now that I think of it, these outfits do take the focus off her jutting Neanderthal jaw”
...and the junk in the trunk!
She wore this to Westminster Abbey? Good Lord!!
I have thought her taste was questionable before, but this just takes the cake! (Come to think of it, it sort of looks like a cake.)
this is it!
LOL,,Karl Rove,,somebody needs to photoshop him as Oz designing outlandish costumes for the Flotus.
It just hit me. HER STYLIST IS A REPUBLICAN UNDER SUPERSECRET UNDERCOVER.

Post of the day!
ROTFL
I’m just telling you what I saw in 02 in the UK and in Iceland last summer and last April..black seems to be a popular color for fashions..at least one sees that on the street. I suppose the aristocracy wears lots of fashionable colors and styles but the ordinary Jack and Jill wear a lot of black.
That was a self-deprecating joke....:)
Did you read the article in the London Times and some of the responses? What a hoot.
That looks like a wedding cake that belongs in Alice in Wonderland.
That makes me laugh just to think of this visual!
No, but I will...:)
I look better dragging my half-asleep ass down the lane in mismatched clothes to fetch the mail.
Gaaah!
On the upside, when I walk out the door wearing plaid shorts, two different bedroom slippers and a camo t-shirt, I can claim "Mo Style!".
[as long as I slap the widest belt I can find over everything, that is]
I think this belt fixation indicates something deeply wrong.
Say, that gives me an idea. For Trick or Treat night coming in Oct, if we all get started now, we could come up with a MO costume and then have a FR Fashion Show!
