High court won't block Chrysler sale
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court has cleared the way for Chrysler's sale to Fiat, turning down a last-ditch bid by opponents of the deal.
The court said late Tuesday it had rejected a plea to block the sale of most of Chrysler's assets to the Italian automaker. Chrysler, Fiat and the Obama administration had warned that the high court's intervention could have scuttled the sale.
A federal appeals court in New York had earlier approved the sale, but gave opponents until Monday afternoon to try to get the Supreme Court to intervene.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg ordered a temporary delay just before a 4 p.m. deadline on Monday.

When card check is passed- I predict that Toyota and Honda will pull up stakes and leave the USA. Canada might be happy to have them.

Buy guns and ammunition. And have a plan. Something's about to hit the fan. The country is finished.

“Yup. Kiss goodbye “the full faith” of the United States and all doing business in it. “
Between this and Obama telling Israel “That was Bush’s arrangement and promise, that wasn’t mine and I won’t honor it”, our credibility is CRAP.
China will be paying attention to this too.

IOW SCOTUS said: ‘present.’

Well, what were they going to say? That they thought the case was strong? In fact, the case should have been a slam dunk for the bond holders. The law is very clear, and the sale is clearly a sub rosa plan.

Stick a fork in Chrysler America. Folks, this is deadly serious. The Constitution and our Republic are both being destroyed before our very eyes and "Tea Parties" are not doing the job. It is obvious our lords in Washington are hopelessly corrupted and failed beyond redemption.
I don't know where this is all ultimately headed, but the dates "1775" and "1861" uneasily come to mind. Some wiser heads had better step in and move, fast, and stop this horror show. Somehow.
I am beginning to hear the echos of goosestepping jackboots...

It wasn’t a case about the bond holders, who had not yet been harmed. It was a request for a stay, which is an entire different animal.

We are now living in a Banana Republic. There's just no other way to describe it. In all but climate. Why can't we atleast get the climate too.
