I think the Koran quoting may backfire on Obama.

As a Christian, when I hear non-Christian groups (gay rights, PETA, etc...) using quotes from the Bible to prove their point, it doens’t make me more open to thier poisition, it makes me angry. I know they are taking them out of context and twisting their meaning for their own purposes.

“Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” for example, has been used countless times to try and show that people should keep their mouths shut about sinful activites. Of course, they never quote the second half of the story: “now go forth, and sin no more.” The story, taken in its entierty, is about forgiveness, putting your sinful ways behind you, and starting again fresh. But when you only quote the first part of the story, you twist it into a story about ignoring sin.

I have to wonder how many of Obama’s Koran quotes were taken out of context or he tried to twist to fit his goals. My guess is more than a few. In which case he probably just made muslims madder due to his misquoting of the Koran.

“Those without the Spirit”, ie, non-Christians, cannot fathom the meaning of the Word, so they apply their own meaning ON the words.

1 Cor 2:14
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
