Two transgender advocates will be part of an on-air apology Thursday by a Sacramento radio team who have upset lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocates.
Transgender advocates Kim Pearson and Autumn Sandeen will appear on KRXQ's "Rob, Arnie & Dawn" show Thursday morning to "further educate the hosts," according to a press release from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). The trio's morning show is off the air because of their remarks but will return at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
"KRXQ appears to be taking this matter very seriously following widespread response from community members and advertisers," said Rashad Robinson, spokesman for GLAAD.
Co-host Rob Williams posted a letter on the team's Web site saying, "We have failed you. As a show, as people, as broadcasters, we have simply failed on almost every level."
GLAAD first contacted KRXQ after a listener complained about remarks made by Williams and co-host Arnie States in a May 28 broadcast.

This is a set-up. TV’s are such media whores that they fell for it.
The hosts should present photos from the Folsom Street Fair. In particula,r the one of two twin four year old girls that their “fathers” dressed them up in bondage outfits complete with studded dog collars and ask the advocates to “educate” them on it.
I work with one of these gender-confused morons, Mr. Cindy. You know, if you want to dress up in a short skirt and fishnet hose at home, whatever, but there is no reason normal people should have to deal with this at work. I’ll never forget the day our boss came in and told us Ed was not going to be here anymore, now it would be Cindy, and we wondered why Ed’s daughter was coming to work here. DOH! This person always was odd, but this is just gross.
The electric blue bra under a sheer blouse is just more than my eyes can stand.
There is no gene to crossdressing. We are born naked. Clothes are dictated by fashion and cultural mores.
I wrote into Chipotle about their stance in defending and putting on a pedestal those with mental illnesses and about how destructive it was (they pulled their sponsorship of the show). I also said I’d be taking my business to Moe’s and Qdoba.
They snidely replied back that they were sorry I felt this way and that the only Moe’s in Colorado was in Glenwood Springs and that the one in Denver closed.
*rolls eyes*
The “majority” needs to stop supporting idiots who knuckle under to this BS. I get so tired of the GLBT victim mentality that I could throw up.
Ah, but they ARE victims- just not the way they represent themselves, as victims of mean ol' conservative attitudes.
They are victims of their own mental illness.
