Kutcher outraged by conviction of US journalists in North Korea

Tuesday, June 9 10:30 am

world entertainment news WENN

Ashton Kutcher has demanded American politicians race to free two US journalists convicted for illegally entering North Korea, insisting Monday's shock news of their imprisonment is "a national crisis". Skip related content

The actor is among those outraged by reports Laura Ling and Euna Lee have been sentenced to 12 years behind bars.

The two Current TV reporters were found guilty of committing "a grave crime" against North Korea, and Kutcher took to his Twitter.com blog to appeal for help on the two journalists' behalf.

He writes, "This should be a national crisis... We have to demand that something be done."

What is more sad? His outrage or that this somehow qualifies as news? Now if Mila Kunis was the one in jail, that of course changes things...

Ashton Kutcher (duhh) has put together a more cogent response to the North Koreans than Barack Obama.

What does that tell you?

B...but, Ashton, we’ve already given away the store. There’s nothing left to offer NK as a bribe. Hmmm. Here’s a bright idea: Maybe the UN can help. But don’t hold your breath, Ashton.

I believe her sister did this a couple of years ago for a story on National Geographic. They knew the law & the consequences. I just wish we ENFORCED OUR LAWS.

Well, I think he’s conflicted in his relationship with an older (b*tchier and dumber) wife and his own raised in the midwest ideals.

I have a feeling once he hits his stride and finds his manhood, it’ll come out.

They were wrong, but not deserving of prison camp and hard labor for 12 years. But they were dumb, no doubt about it.

“(Ashton) Kutcher outraged by conviction of US journalists in North Korea”

Sorry, Ashton. The Marines are busy polishing their belt buckles and the 101st Airborne is staying on base because tonight is steak and potato night at the chow hall. How about you organize a Hollywood Castro Brigade or a Stalin Battalion at college campuses and go get them yourself.

Oops, I forgot. American leftists are cowards and only attack and kill unborn babies in the womb.

I guess they got confused since we let anyone cross our border in the good old USA.

ROTFLMAO. How true.

Boy are this idiot priorities screwed up. Sending in the special ops for a couple of scribblers from the Gorons network would be a terrible waste of resources. I am having a very tough time finding any sympathy for the two journalists.

Everyone relax — those 2 women are in good hands!

They won’t be tortured like at Guantanamo Bay.

They won’t be abused, no cruel or unusual punishment.

They’re in the hands of Osockpuppet’s utopian buddy, kim jong-il.

I wish the 2 women, those 2 Al Gore DRONES, a very pleasant 12 years of hard labor!

I’m not Jewish, but I’d like to add this: MAZEL TOV !!

(I wonder if Odouchebag will call upon Mr Jong-Il to close that prison too? Lord, I hope not).

That's what I was thinking when I read they'd entered the country illegally. When I used to backpack around England, there was always some nagging fear that I'd do something wrong that I was unaware of, so I was always cautious to stay out of trouble.

Sneaking into NK illegally for a story is like breaking into a crack house owned by the crips or bloods. Don't be surprised when when bad things happen.

Personally I think the fact that they weighed 35 pounds more than everyone else was a sure fire give away.

“When I visit other countries, I am pretty sure that I am supposed to follow their rules. I guess they got confused since we let anyone cross our border in the good old USA.”

Americans generally aren’t allowed in North Korea. When any westerner does visit North Korea they are not allowed to visit the back country and see what really goes on there. These ladies were trying to collect information on the conditions. Ya know the stories of the real torture, weapons testing on kids, raping women to death in front of their husbands and so on.

So yeah while they did ‘break’ the law the country of North Korea has little respect for the law. But perhaps you are unaware of current events in North Korea, ya know things happening for the last 50 years.

It’s important to know what Twittering fools think.

Amazed that Ashton could break away from arranging to get Susan Butcher to sing for Demi...to actually know that this is going on.
