It was a raw, even wintry, weekend for residents and travelers in the northern Rockies. The cold air streaming southward from Canada will get cut off this week, and temperatures will begin to rebound over the next few days.
The recent cold weather has slowed the progress of crops in Montana in comparison to last year, especially the spring wheat. While some snow can linger in the higher elevations of Montana, any snow will be a distant memory the end of the week.
While it will take a few days, temperatures will return to more suitable levels for June. This will help the crops recover from the slow growing season.

According to Long Range Expert Joe Bastardi, areas from the northern Plains into the Northeast will have a "year without a summer."

Drudge Headline....for this article becomes......

In 30 years, I’ve never fired the furnace in June.
Until this past Saturday....
my cuz in jax hole says it’s been snowing like all get out
Just your average gorebull warming at work in the Rockies!
Global Warming?
Algore’s fault?
Jackson Hole isn’t that high....bet the Tetons are getting some good stuff.
How much carbon credits do you owe Algore for the furnace fire?
I heard as for Wisconsin this airmass may be parked here for 30 days. I wonder what this will do to whear and corn prices and futures.
Seriously, are we are the verge of a new Ice Age?
I am predicting no summer on the central coast of California. No summer, no tourists, no economy because the political geniuses around here have killed off every business except those that cater to the ‘green’ industry, tourism.
The only things happy with the weather around here are the artichokes! Fog and wind, that’s the ticket!
Al Gore’s fault!
“The only things happy with the weather around here are the artichokes!”
That’s for sure, the wife has been getting some of the best artichokes we’ve had in years!
“How much carbon credits do you owe Algore for the furnace fire?”
Nothing. Unless you turn me in.
Sadly the summer chokes are the annual kind, they just don’t have the meaty, arti-choky goodness of the perennial plants. But on the bright side, at least there are ‘chokes in summer!
I just want to sucker punch Al Gore... just a little... okay, a LOT!
The lettuce on my normally searing balcony, could
continue to thrive all summer long, under these
conditions.

A year without summer would be just fine for us Phoenicians. The weather here has been spring-like. We haven’t had our A/C on in five days, except for a little spurt here and there in the late afternoons. It’s been wonderful. No complaints. I remember a June several years ago when temps were 119-122.
Send the bill to Al Grope Gore
