For FReepers who wonder... “Puh ‘sake” is an acceptable pronunciation, although many (most?) North Jersey natives will pronounce it “Puh ‘say ik” with the last two syllables almost blending together.

Puh sake is an acceptable pronunciation, although many (most?) North Jersey natives will pronounce it Puh say ik with the last two syllables almost blending together.I was born there 70 years ago...it's Puh-sake...unless you're from "Da udder side Pots-ake."
