Mexico gives NCLR president a big thanks ("La Raza")

Back on May 5, the Mexican government gave their highest award for foreigners - the "Ohtli Award" - to Janet Murguia of the National Council of La Raza. That award is basically given to putative Americans who help the government of Mexico push their agenda inside the U.S.

Per Google's accurate translation, those awards:

recognize the contribution of the winners to the empowerment of Mexican communities and Mexican-American in United States (que reconocen la contribución de los galardonados al empoderamiento de las comunidades mexicana y mexicano-americana en Estados Unidos)

Note that Sonia Sotomayor was a member of the NCLR for six years, and she joined them just four years after they'd given an award to someone who'd proposed amnesty against "gringos".

Important note: It's very important not to confuse the NCLR with other groups or concepts that have "raza" in their names. Misleading about that group - such as pretending they're as bad as aztlan.net - helps them. The way to deal with them is to only tell the truth about them, which is more than enough. The second link above has my extensive summary of the group.

I wish. The "amnesty against 'gringos'" should read: "genocide against 'gringos'".
