“Is “accidental” drowning in a car covered?”

No but, you will be covered for any injuries incurred while swimming/running from the scene of said accident.

Hell's Bells.. I thought they were talking about how much they had spent to save this worthless POS.

He should have gotten the treatment he is planning for everyone else.
He'd be dead by now!!

Like all the Y2K idiots that drained their bank accounts and bought semi loads of MRE’s ?

I bought guns and ammo for Y2K and I have done the same now on an even greater scale than Y2K

10,000 rounds of .223-FMJ. 10,000 12 gauge, 00 Buckshot. 5000 deer slugs, enough powder, primers and projectiles to reload the FMJ's five times.

Very interesting story. I fear our side may be facing an uphill battle on this... seems EVERYONE I run into (other than here on FR of course) is of the same opinion. Making someone else pay (ie The Big Bad Insurance Companies, "rich people", etc.) for their "free" health care. Which will be excellent health care, of course... no waiting and they'll have a full choice of any doctor or procedure they want. Yeah right...

Whenever I challenge a pro-single payer/universal health care advocate about how awful the "free" health care is in countries like Canada, the UK, France, Italy, etc., they pause for a moment (they've never heard of such a thing!) and declare: "Well, that will NEVER happen here in the US."

Since we own GM, we can just call GM “Government Motors and Medical”. Since they're closing all the dealerships, they can use the DMV offices to sell cars, register cars, and treat car accidents all from the same outlets. The DMV front lobbies could be converted to car showrooms, emergency rooms, as well as DMV waiting rooms, with lines leading to each and also utilizing the DMV’s efficient “pick a number and wait for several days to talk to a brain dead government employee” queuing system. This would be unprecedented efficiency.

This is going to be shamnesty revisited.

Shamnesty is on the agenda for next month, after this passes. Burning the Constitution is scheduled for a vote after that.

It’s only 167 pages. No way it will pass. People will actually be able to read it.

This is only the table of contents. The final draft will be 167,000,000 pages.

>I asked who “they” are and he said “The insurance companies”. <

These folks are too stupid to understand what they’re doing. The scary thing is, they’re taking the rest of us down the toilet with them.

The Capstone for that evil sonofabitch who brought us the 1965 Immigration Act.

Under the microscope, there may not be a single individual who has done more to destroy this country! Judged by his deeds, he despises America to the point of obsession. Of course, he would believe that this is important, and necessary.

I didn't buy any MRI's (too expensive, I'm in pretty good health and could get an MRI at the local hospital if I really needed one).

LOL! I didn't know I was supposed to get an abundance of MRI's done before Y2K - darn!

I LOVE your screen name.

I was sure you weren’t touting that everyone buy MRI’s, but not every scare/panic is cause to do radical things in planning for them.

Having some food storage plan isn't necessarily a radical thing. Here in earthquake country, it's recommended procedure. Probably in other areas with natural disaster potential as well.

I bought a year's worth of grains and beans for 2 (ok, that would be 2 year's worth) - all nicely prepacked and shipped to my door - for less than $2K. The stuff will last 30 years - probably longer than I will. And for the price of 2 Krugerrands, I have peace of mind. Not that everyone wants to buy that much, but a few month's worth of preparation isn't very costly.

And judging from the cost of my son's MRI on his knee recently, storing a little food is cheaper than the medical procedure's initials that has been misused ;)

The government should be less involved, not more. Obama’s plan for socialized medicine will result in poor quality care, fewer doctors and hospitals, long waits for treatment, and most importantly, lack of individual choice - Freedom. America has the best health care in the world, driven by competition and the research and innovation of free enterprise. It seems that Obama and Congress are determined to ruin the great medical care we already enjoy.

Plus, the national debt is already staggering and unsustainable. Even if it were good policy, which it isn’t, socialized medicine is too expensive. Obama’s accumulation of debt exceeds that of all previous presidents in American history combined, and that’s not even counting the unfunded liabilities for Socialist Security and Medicare.

Obama and his Socialist Congress are on a path to destroy capitalism and freedom.

Yes, mri should have been MRE, but you knew what I was saying.

The point was that not EVERY silly scare ( like Y2K ) is cause to spend wildly on survivalist items.

There were people that spent every dime they had on semi loads of MREs, thousands of flashlight batteries, 12 generators, 100 5gal gas cans full of gas, etc etc..

They were broke and far from better off when nothing happened. They wound up selling stuff in yard-sales for pennies on the dollar.

I have always had 6-12 months of food on hand, just because I buy in bulk and don't like to go to the store often.

I have my own water supply, both in the form of a well and a spring fed pond stocked with fish.

40 acres of hardwood timber full of deer and other game pretty well covers heat and an unlimited supply of fresh meat.

A couple coleman lanterns that run on unleaded gas and a good supply of gas in the barn allows me to go a long time without power or going to a store.
