"That would be an awful lot of voters to kick out of the state. Where would they go?

Back to Mexico, Guatamala, Cuba, Honduras, Iran, Iraq, etc., or to other welfare states here in the USA.

May I suggest moving to a state that is just barely holding on to by conservatives. These states need any and all conservatives they can get. If enough move to these states from the heavily blue states then we conservatives can take back elections and states one by one. Also, people who are truly conservative and have true conservative principles and values need to vote or even better become a candidate for office if they have the financial resources and the immense will power to do it. And age does not matter, young or old, or any race color or creed will do as long as the principles are truly conservative.

Yeah, we’re saying the same thing. Kalifornistan will consfiscate the property/assets of Christian heterosexuals and sell the proceeds at auction before they would deny the career welfare deadbeats free cable, housing, medical and/or Big Macs.

Head fake dudes.
Gov Wimponator is doing the usual Calif politician ploy of threatening to cut muscle and bone to scare the voters into ever higher taxes and fees in order to avoid cutting fat.

When you see the headlines of Calif zeroing out the massive amount of money going to benefits to illegals, THEN you will know the budget cutting attempt is geniunely serious.

Until then, it is the usual Dem scare tactics...like how when a local nearly all Mexican city ran low on money, the City govt closed all the libraries....but cut nothing from the money going to illegals that would have by itself balanced the budget.

We live in an age when Congress passes 900 page laws that no one reads, when legislators route Govt contracts to family members, when theft and misdeeds are not prosecuted. And age of corruption and incompetence. The age of Democratic and RINO control of Govt is here.

"Wonder what a liberal's idea of a "successful" social program is."

Thousands and thousands of people, sitting at home, drinking beer, watching Am.Idol, and getting paid to stay there.....much like Britain, really.

>would burn down the state.

Then it would be time for the armed citizens to put a stop to that threat.

Who even cares if they burn down their own neighborhoods?
Besides the MSM and the wailing liberal trash socialists?

Although I’m not in Ca, if anything like that happened around my area, there would be a lot of bodies lying about.

Big threat...

getting rid of CalWORKs, ....good.

which has been widely viewed as one of the most successful social programs in the state's history, ...judged by whom? People who receive money from it? People who work for it?

I hate "journalists" with an agenda.

All of a sudden there will be PLENTY of people clamoring for those jobs “americans won’t do”......

Lol, yea and I am one of them, lost my 80k job. First thing I did was pay off the house, next I bought three garden tractors, 1 mower, 1 loader and 1 as a spare with a 3pt and grader blade. Now I do lawns and dirt work. Have not taken one dime in government monies (unemployment), yet. Saving is slowly being eaten away but hey, I'm 61 and will get SS in a year. Hoping my tractors will allow me to hang on that long. I also own a little beer joint and that helps too.

Wonder what a liberal’s idea of a “successful” social program is.

It’s always a numbers game. How many are signed up for the program? How much did they spend on it? Is spending increasing, a sign that the program needs to grow to keep up? Are benefits growing for the union employees, a sign of happy workers willing to stay on their jobs? Has their been an increase in holidays, paid time off? There are so many measures for success that I don’t have room here to list them all. And keep in mind that ending these programs are disproportionately affecting minorities and the poor. To end them simply would be racist. /s

“It’s difficult to come up with the right adjective to react to this,” Wagstaff said. “It would be devastating to the people we serve.”

Not to mention your own position with the state.

The career welfare recipients (and they are considerable) would burn down the state.

After they stole every thing of value.
