A North Carolina man who police say arranged on Craigslist for his wife to be raped by another man exposed himself last year to a pizza delivery woman in Virginia and pleaded guilty to indecent exposure.
Kannapolis police Sgt. Chris Nesmitt said Friday investigators are getting details on the Virginia case as they look into last weekend's assault of the man's wife in their home. Police say the husband found the attacker through Craigslist, the popular online classified service under scrutiny for sexually explicit ads.
"This is something we're aware of, but at this point don't know how it relates to our case," Nesmitt said, referring to the Virgina case.

I cannot imagine what kind of Craigslist ad this guy would have found that made him think he had the right "partner" for his plan: "SWM rapist looking for victim. Nonsmoker preferred"? I peeked at Craigslist once, but I'm sure I missed that section of the website.
What a despicable crime!! And those words fall far short.
I went out with a woman I met on craigslist one time. She was nice, it just didn’t work out.
That makes sense - essentially the same as the old “personals” ads, just different media. It’s the idea of looking for a rapist online that strikes me as peculiar, not the online but otherwise traditional matchmaking efforts.
there are several sections for ads, some for long term relationships, some for hook ups, some for friends only, and some for unusual sex.
The ones for the hook ups have the hooker ads, which CL has managed to go after. Nw you have to pay for sex only ads. Which I have never posted to.
The woman I went out with I met on the “rant and rave” section, not the personals.
reguarding this crime......I have no words....no words at all.....except he better be locked up for minimum of 30 yrs because his next crime will involve murder....
