Lebanon's opposition conceded defeat against the March 14 coalition in pivotal polls Sunday after weeks of fierce campaigning. "We've lost the election," a senior opposition source, who declined to be identified, told Reuters. "We accept the result as the will of the people." "We'll go back to the way we were," the source added.

Far better headline -- even if it is from the New York Times:

Pro-American Bloc Defeats Hezbollah in Lebanon Vote

The above headline was the way the report was show on Google News. It gets right to the nitty gritty. But the NYT reporter does the usual wishy washy reporting job. Everything is nuanced with 'if' and 'maybe.' The facts show that Obama may have easier sledding because of GWB's conservative efforts. Just like the EU voted for the conservatives and against the socialists.

"We'll go back to the way we were,"

Which in Hizbullah's case, that means returning to bullets instead of ballots. Not to mention rockets and high explosives.

Hizbullah did win big in the south and the Bekaa Valley.

One nice piece of news from England is that PM Brown had a very bad day. I found this salient info very early:

Brown Heading for 'Dismal' European Poll Results

English Prime Minister Brown Speaks at Veterans D-Day Event

Play clicky on the photo to read the article . . .

Maybe Michael Savage will take partial credit for PM Brown's poll woes on Monday. MS has been fighting the good fight against all odds for years. Right now he ought to take a bow because he was a marginal factor in Ms. Smith's resignation. The Witch blinked. MS has his defamation case going forward with top rated legal talent on board.

I only hope Savage can get a few fires burning under King Zero (exactly what O's Approval Rating was last week!)

I guess Jimmy Carter wasn't available to assure a win for Hezbollah. He must be so disappointed.

Wait until that Pro-American bloc learns what the current American administration is supporting.
