A teenager accused of burning her ex-roommate's cat alive in an oven is already facing charges over allegations she kidnapped a dog.
Cheyenne Cherry, a 17-year-old from the Bronx in New York, is accused of putting kitten Tiger Lily into an oven and cooking it, the New York Daily News reports.
It's now been revealed Cherry's boyfriend stole a dog from a woman in a Bronx park last June after placing a BB gun to her forehead.
Cherry then attempted to claim a US$500 (A$630) reward by sending a friend to give the dog back to its owner.
"She's evil," Johan Castro, the dog's owner, told the Daily News.
She was arrested and charged with larceny and extortion.
"They wonder why this little girl doesn’t learn right from wrong," Castro said.
"If she's willing to kill a cat and steal my dog, what else will she do?"
The alleged animal cruelty occurred during a raid on Cherry's ex-roommate's apartment on May 6 to trash the place, slashing furniture, unscrewing light bulbs and throwing bleach on the walls.
Firefighters found the kitten's remains after next-door neighbours complained about smoke coming from the apartment.
Cherry says Tiger Lily was killed as during a practical joke, but has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, arson, burglary and criminal mischief.
Despite the charges, Cherry's brother David is adamant his sister loves animals and has her own pet.
"My sister is no cat killer," Cherry told the Daily News.

And, the guy in the original article who asks why she can’t learn right from wrong I would ask: In a country where infanticide is openly, publicly endorsed and applauded as a “human/woman’s right” how can killing an _animal_ be wrong?

I say for these animal killers we do exactly what THEY do to their little victims. Pop this gal in an oven and turn up the heat.
Sick person all the way around. She is a truly evil and dangerous person to actually murder something to hurt another person. That is whacked, she needs to be put away.
Killing an animal brutally is a practical joke?
