Jefferson, 62, has told reporters that he has an "honest explanation" for the cold cash, but he has yet to offer details.
Greed would explain it.

And he would have probably gotten away with it if the California Raisins hadn’t dropped a dime on his rear.

>" Jurors are expected to determine whether the congressman was using his freezer as an alternative to a bank,"And when NO flooded he commandeered military vehicles trying to rescue said freezer! The wheeled vehicle got stuck, the helicopter refused to haul a freezer while people were still needing rescue!

Seems there’s a lot of evidence against him. He should be very concerned barring another OJ jury.

I think he is going to be found innocent and spend the rest of his life looking for the person who put that money in the frig.

Only a 94-page indictment? Can't be much to the case, then. Time to move along, nothing to see here.---

Just reading the 94 page indictment to the jurors could convict Jefferson; in retribution for boring them to tears.

If the government was interested in this case then Jefferson would have been put under the jail years ago.

My money says Jefferson will walk away from this without a scratch. Yep. Leading Republicans in both the House and the Senate were falling all over themselves to help to try to make the case go away, and that was when they were in the majority. I had never been so disgusted with the Republican party in my life.

Excuse me, “leading Republicans in both the House and the Senate” is, in fact, THE leading Republicans in both the House (Hastert) and the Senate (Frist). They couldn’t get to the mikes quickly enough to denounce the FBI search of Jefferson’s office:
