Always this steady drip drip drip of demands for Israel to show some concessions.

My God folks, what were the actions with regard to Gaza, if not that very thing. Israel withdrew, showing a great concession, and what did it garner?

Now the call for more concessions.

I don’t believe the Palestinians have made one concession toward’s Israel. In fact, when Israel stated it would give the Palestinians about 97% of what they wanted, back in 2000, what was the result? Arafat started the intifada.

Israel has made all the concessions it should. If it weren’t for the wall between it and the Palestinians, there would still be suicide bombing in Israel’s most densely populated public places.

To hell with the Palestinians, until they truly want peace.

As for Iran, full speed ahead Israel.

Did I every say Mara Liason is dumber than a fence post?

It’s my own humble belief but the only ‘solution’ for Israel is to annex the entire West Bank. Absorb those who want to stay and expel those who don’t like it. A patchwork quilt of a country isn’t a country anyway, IMHO.

As for Gaza, Israel should stop giving them any support and the USA needs to stop it as well. Gaza is nothing more than a huge ghetto where people live rent free, are given free food and subsidized because any wealth they create is sucked up by Hezbollah terrorists. Gaza is the biggest ripoff welfare state in the world.

Land for peace has never worked and won’t now. Netanyaho has it right that appeasing the Palestinians has not and will not work.

In my lifetime, 60+ years, this has never been resolved and there has been nothing but war and terrorism in this region. Thanks to Carter, Iran and Iraq have been a major problem area too. Iraq is on its way to be civilized and even that is in peril of failing because US Democrats are screwing it up.

I know some Irish Catholics but that does not mean I have to support the IRA. I have Mexican friends but that does not mean I have to support amnesty for illegal Mexicans. I’ll be darned if I’ll support a state of Palestine just because they demand it. If they want it, earn it. So far all they want is charity and help destroying Israel.

Harsh? Yeah, but these people have sucked any remaining sympathy out of me.

Excellent points. Sadly, the situation and
balance has dramatically deteriorated since
0 and his heavy-handed cabal have entered the
scene.

I pray for Israel.

While you’re at it, keep America in your prayers too. 0 is on a fast track to really damage America and our way of life. Possibly permanently, or at least for decades to come. Hopefully, he only has 8 or so months to do his damage before the 2010 election season begins.

The great unknown: are there any Republicans left who still believe conservative values can win?

That goes without saying .. I pray everyday
for our beloved country, and especially
our brave troops. Israel is at a
monumental and epic precipice, with this
friend of Rashid Khalidi, Rev. Wright and
Bill Ayers at the helm.

Frankly, I have to remind myself none of this is about issues. The whole situation in politics today revolves around two things: money and power. The Democrats have it and are determined to keep their power and change the USA into a statist country. Once dependent on them, they think they will remain in power forever. It can be part socialism, part fascism, part Stalinism,or part of whatever anyone can think of. It’s still statism with Democrats in charge.

I think it was Bahbah who quoted this. I read the column and it’s right on point, written in 2007!

Politics is not about facts. it is about what politicians can get people to believe. - Thomas Sowell
