Hey, newbie, Minn has been here for ten years.
Don’t insult your betters.
"It's really unfair to pluck a few extreme quotes off any websites message boards."
This is your standard. Yet you you take 37 quotes from a website with 300,000 registered members to paint them as vicious crazy nuts. You are being either inconsistent or unfair.
"I'm wary of drawing too many lessons from anonymous message board comments."
I don't believe you.
"One could certainly pluck comments from Beliefnet's boards to prove that we harbor either right wing or left wing extremists."
And Steven Waldman just plucked comments to label FreeRepublic as a bad website.
Since this is only one article of yours I will refrain judgment on whether I think you have an agenda or not.
"A double minded man is unstable in all his ways...."
“DLTDHYOTWO”
Very insightful.
Thanks Jeff.
I do understand that these pictures can turn a heart. But to be honest, I really don’t want to see any more, as I have already been convinced of the holocaust.
I will tell you that if any of those pictures end up in my inbox, I’m probably going to hit the abuse button. I don’t want to have to look at that every time I go to view my comments.
Translation: Duh, yous better duh not duh bring us duh down duh when we's duh cellebratting duh a duh murder duh.
God Bless the murdered children.
Longevity does not make one better. Otherwise, Robert Bryd would be the best senator.
Your opinion has been noted and ignored.
I guess facts are sometimes best ignored for some people.
I rarely ask that such an act be taken reserving my wrath only for the Obama Truth Squad people who sign up here and try to "guide" our discussions with their party line soundbytes.
That's why I am merely being obnoxious to Minn ~ she's been here a while, should know better, and can probably bear up under all her perceived embarrassment (which is faked I am sure). She and Wildman might think the RTL folks on FR should pause a minute and celebrate the life of George Tiller, but I don't think so!
I refuse to play the liberal game that Tiller was a sane, normal member of the community who should mourned.
One of the arguments made by the advocates of abortion is that it is really not a child at the point the abortion is performed. It’s simply a clean, surgical procedure where a blob of matter is scraped off the uterine lining by doctors behind white-washed walls.
I too found the graphic to be offensive, but it’s the truth of what Tiller and others are engaged in. After seeing the above I find it difficult to believe anyone could praise Tiller for the work he did as so many including the President have done.
I find Holocaust pictures of emaciated bodies piled high on top of one another to be sickening, but it reminds me of just how evil, evil really is. The pro-aborts don’t want these pictures seen (and I don’t like to see them) because they are disgusting and because they expose evil for what it really is.
I really believe that if more Americans saw the above the tide which is shifting against the pro-aborts would become a tidal wave.
Before we start flailing around suspicions of motives & agendas and then labeling anyone as “unstable”, I suggest we find out who here posting on this thread have children, because I can tell you, looking at that picture, and then looking at my 2 year old twins is enough to make me UNSTABLE!
I guess two is a startling large number...
As one of the two, let me say that my comments were ill considered and could have been phrased better. Under the Sotomayor Rule, that means I'm off the hook.
No. I'm all teary eyed about the complete scum bag idiot that thought he could do anything positive about the situation by shooting an abortionist. I'm aghast that, fourteen years after Oklahoma City (which is still used like a club by the left), anybody with a brain bigger than a pea would be unable to see the obviously huge negative consequences of this act. Further, I'm crying rivers that people that consider themselves prolife are revealing themselves to be such incredibly childish detriments to the cause. Nobody that truly cares about changing the laws to protect the unborn can be anything other than horrified by this act. It strengthens the political hand of those seeking to keep abortion easy, cheap and tax payer funded.
So the question is: are you people cheering this act really prolife with a true interest in the political and cultural change necessary to repeal RVW and vastly reduce abortion? Or, are you just overgrown children that really don't give a flying fig about real progress, and instead enjoy the hell out of events like this, as if your favorite team just put one up on the scoreboard?
I do agree with her statements that some of the above comments are damaging to conservatism. I’m sorry you don’t see it that way.
However, murder is wrong and this murder was not in any gray area.
Real progress?
There have been no late term abortions in Kansas since 5/31/09.
Thanks for the ping.
Agreed. We should avoid giving the opposition free soundbytes, but we should also avoid stupid self-censorship. It’s always going to be possible for those liars on the left to take some remark out of context and run with it.
I see that I’m not quoted here, I presume because I think I split the difference in my posts on this subject, something to the effect of “Tiller was an evil, baby-killing scum, but murder is wrong.” I guess that wasn’t convenient for quoting.
I must say that it seems to me that those who called the shooting of Killer Tiller a very late term abortion were making a perfectly apt if dark joke in the circumstances. What goes around comes around.
