Was 0bama giving a speech or watching the French Open?
That is sad. I supported ‘Bush’s war’ wholeheartedly, for the purpose of bringing more western influence to a neighbor of Iran. Now that The One is giving Iran parity with ‘all other nations’ I feel like he is dissing every military person and their families who have been involved with Iraq.
I despise Obamao.
Yes it is...I also supported “Bush’s war” and am disappointed that it’s not gone as well as expected. Wish we WERE out of there but for all the right reasons...I too despise BHO...and am so disheartened that there doesn’t appear to be anyone in (leadership) opposition to what he’s doing who’s willing to take on the good fight.
I feel your pain, I have a brother that suffers under a brain damaging case of BDS as well. To him, Bush is evil personified
What?????!!!!!
OMG!!
My condolences to you.
Incredible tale of grit and courage. Thanks for posting.
Obama says he “likely” won’t be the last POTUS to honor the D-Day commemoration.
_____________
Did he really say that? If so, our suspicions have just been confirmed.
It brought a tear to my eye, too. Be proud! You have a real hero for a dad. I appreciate his service and his courage. It was a living hell on those beaches.
God Bless America and All Veterans!

That is a true American patriot. No matter how many times I hear that speech, it never fails to give me goosebumps. What a wonderful man he was and he dearly loved this country.
One of Reagan's best attributes was his grasp of our nation's greatness, and his celebration of that. He used that as a focal point to say that we could overcome any problem thrown at us.
We sorely need that today. Sarah Palin is the only politician that I have heard gets close to saying this.
Why is bambi walking around saluting at random?
I am actually finding that pretty hilarious.

LMAO!!!! SO am I. what in the world is this dork doing? He’s clueless.
She’s high wasted.
(I apologize in advance)
Which proves the adage that it can always be worse.
Today is the 65th anniversary. The 70th will be 2014. O will only be there if he wins in 2012. President Palin sounds real nice doesn’t it?
Reagan did not have comabt experience in WW2.
He was already an established Hollywood actor, and he had poor eyesight, so the Army used him in training films from 1942-1945.
I believe he rose to the rank of Captain by the time he was discharged.
Back then, Hollywood types were eager to do their part for their country,
Not like today’s posers.
By the way, welcome to FreeRepublic, being as this is your first day and all.
I am not the first American president to come and mark this anniversary,
and I likely will not be the last.
