A convicted arsonist was sentenced to death Friday for setting a Southern California wildfire that killed five federal firefighters struggling to defend a rural home from raging, wind-driven flames.

Was accused of lighting something like 17 fires.
California’s method of execution seems to be letting them die of old age.
Unfortunately, California and Tennessee “death sentences” are rarely death sentences. However, they do, at least, keep the perps locked up for most of the rest of their lives appealing the sentences instead of letting them back onto the street.
Yeah, it’s better than letting them back on the streets but it costs a fortune to pay their ACLU lawyers’ fees.
