Question Time would have saved us a lot of pain with Bush II. His dad would have survived, but there would have been no hint of a Bush dynasty. Quick thinking and excellent communications skills are at least fifty percent of the requirements for office. The other fifty percent is the meat. Question Time is the quality control and accounting for these requrements, and that's what we are missing.

0, Bush, Churchill and Brown are great examples to use to test this hypothesis. Also, Question Time would be exactly the right place to ask about the birth certificate.

You’re very correct in all respects... I just hesitate to praise QT too much to Americans because I’ve noticed a tendency for them to think of it as some sort of silver bullet... I’m Texan born and back here now but I’ve also lived under Westminster systems. Personal experience has taught me that QT has it’s limits and I just try to remind people of that.
