Home / Globe / Opinion / Op-ed Ellen Goodman IT IS believed that the shooter acted alone. Surely, that's true. No one else was standing beside suspect Scott Roeder when it is believed he murdered Dr. George Tiller in the sanctuary of his church.
But Michael Griffin also acted alone when he killed David Gunn in 1993. Paul Hill acted alone when he killed John Britton in 1994. John Salvi acted alone and so did Eric Rudolph and James Kopp. This suspect is hardly lonely in this murderous cast of lone actors.

And those 423 killings weren't lone shooters either. For each thug in baggy jeans pulling the trigger, there was another thug (in a suit) blaming whites for the problems of blacks and promising "hope" and "change" if they put their trust in government instead of solving their problems themselves. I wonder how Ellen Goodman would like my analysis. It matches her logic.
Wonder if she wrote the same thing about Ted Kennedy?
I’m sorry, but this column did NOT happen. It was never written. That is because Ellen Goodman NEVER existed. Her mother had her aborted.
No one is standing by him now either. No Pro life group has stood up for this man, and they won't. Pro lifers are against killing. (do I have to explain that to Ellen?)
Wonder when Ellen is going to write a column about the myth of Private Long’s killer being a lone shooter.
All pro lifers condemn the murder of Tiller. Cry me a river, Ellen, you silly woman.
Ellen Goodman: “Who is this “Private Long” person, and can we use him to foment hatred against Obama’s political opponents?”
0bama’s statement was an obvious attempt to cover up and dismiss any reference to the context of the recruitment center shootings.
The context: A Black Muslim, like the Black Panthers whom his AG protects, converted in prison, trained in Yemen, previously arrested for weapons violations, carrying arms and plans for further terrorist acts, saying “allah akbar” when arrested.
A terrorist act of war, by a Muslim, on our troops, of which he is Commander in Chief,
and all he can say is “senseless act of violence”.
Interesting that Ms Goodman doesn’t include the myth of the lone shooter in the case of Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad.
How ‘bout it, Ellen?
“You see, this suspect was not such a lone gunman. And no, I am afraid, this was not an isolated incident.”
Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn did not stand alone when they bombed the Pentagon or killed police, nor do they stand alone now. They were supported by the likes of Ellen Goodman and Barack Obama.
Mumia Abu Jamal was a lone gunman, but he, too has the likes of Goodman by his side.
Ellen Goodman is the kind of woman who has an orgasm at the thought of an abortion.
The myth of the lone columnist....
Is she still around? And still chasing the “vast, right wing conspiracy?”
Why is it Church suddenly becomes important to these type of people?
Only apostate churches hold any value to a leftist.
Besides that, they just try to use the intrinsic morality of the right against them.
The problem is, we engage in the argument between capital punishment and abortion, and we always go on defense. This is a mistake. Instead of defending our position, we should put them on defense, and ask how can they have sympathy for the life of a convicted murderer, many times brutal murders, but not have the same sympathy for the life of an innocent child who has done nothing to society except exist in the womb? Why is there no consistency in their positions?
They don’t defend the killing of convicted murderers because none of them has ever participated in the killing of a convicted murderer.
The abortion issue, on the other hand, is about avoiding guilt. Any moral weight applied to abortion inexorably leads the “had-aborts” to the conclusion that they murdered their own child.
