Obama in Cairo
The Spectator ^ | Thursday, 4th June 200 | Melanie Phillips

So Obama has equated genocidal terrorism by the Palestinians with the civil rights movement in America and the true resistance against apartheid in South Africa. Thus the moral bankruptcy of the moral relativist.

Next, he repeated that the settlements (all of them? just new ones?) undermined peace and so had to stop. But they don’t undermine peace. It is Arab rejectionism that prevents peace in the Middle East, and the settlements are a palpable excuse. Yet Obama delivered no ultimatum of any kind to Iran, the real threat to peace in the region and the world...

For his egregious sanitising of Islam and its history, and his absurd claims about its contribution to western civilisation, read Robert Spencer here. But in this regard, one of Obama’s references in particular made me catch my breath.

This is boilerplate misrepresentation by Islamists and their apologists. The fact is that it is Judaism which teaches this as a cardinal precept. The Talmud states:

Whoever destroys a single soul, he is guilty as though he had destroyed a complete world; and whoever preserves a single soul, it is as though he had preserved a whole world.

The Koran appropriated this precept – but altered it to mean something very different. Thus (verses 5:32-5:35):

In other words, this turns a Talmudic precept affirming the value of preserving human life into a prescription for violence and murder against Jews and ‘unbelievers’. Yet Obama passed it off as evidence of the pacific nature of Islam.

So in conclusion, yes, there was some positive stuff in this speech – but it was outweighed by the United States President's shocking historical misrepresentations, gross ignorance, disgusting moral equivalence between aggressors and their victims, and disturbing sanitising of Islamist supremacism.

In short, deeply troubling.

What Obama heard from the crowd in Cairo: “We love you.” The delusion is strong....and worldwide.

Yes, I heard Barack Hussein Obama’s pandering speech in Cairo.

Robert Spencer’s analysis is right-on:

http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/026426.php

I would add two points:

Hussein HAD to mention “Bosnia”, and equate the killing of “innocents” (muslims) there with the genocide in Darfur. That is an out-and-out, Serbophobic LIE!!!! What about the jihadists, both native to the region and foreign, who chopped off heads of the Bosnian Serb Christians whom they murdered (in obedience to the “holy” Qur’an) and posed with the severed heads for videos that are popular throughout the islamic world? What about the Bosnian Serb Christians whom the muslims burned in their houses and churches, or roasted alive on spits? The Bosnian war happened because of the muslim leader Izetbegovic, who worked to create a muslim-dominated state in the heart of Europe as part of his dream of creating a worldwide caliphate. You can read about that dream in his own “islamic Declaration”.

Then there was Obama’s prideful mention of the U.S. government’s court actions to defend the “right” of muslim women “to wear the hijab, and to punish those who would deny it.” Those muslim women in America who voluntarily wear the hijab are dong so as part of the “female jihad”, to intimidate the Kuffar! The other part of the female jihad is to rear lots of muslim children, to overwhelm us demographically. (Other muslim women are FORCED to engage in the female jihad.) These muslims are NOT moderates! They want to turn the United States of American into an islamic state under sharia law. KICK THEM OUT!!!!!

Reportedly, Obama was advised in preparing his speech by a special “interfaith” group that he created. Prominent in that group is Dalia Mogahed, a hijab-wearing muslim fifth columnist from Egypt, who worked with paid muslim shill John Esposito of Georgetown University to produce a phony survery to show that muslims in the West would be moderate, if they weren’t living in “poverty”. The other members of Hussein’s “interfaith” group are mainly very New World Order-friendly “mainline” protestants, ultra-liberal Jews, and cafeteria Catholics.

Meanwhile, Obama has declared June 2009 to be “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month”:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/Presidential-Proclamation-LGBT-Pride-Month/

Hussein is attacking American Christians from all sides, not only with the Muahmmadan barbarians. but also with the gaysbian degenerates.

On June 28th (in the civil calendar), Serbian Orthodox Christians will celebrate Vidovdan, the commemoration of the Battle of Kosovo in 1389. By rights, June should be Serbian-American Heritage Month!!!!

So this takes precedence over +Iraneaus of Lyons? Interesting.

First, Serbian Church goes by the Julian calendar; second, Vidovdan is St. Vitus' Day.

As I said, we shall celebrate Vidovdan (St Vitus’ Day, and the commemoration of St. Lazar of Serbia and the Kosovo Battle) on June 28th in the civil calendar—that is June 15th on the Julian (Old) Calendar.

The OCA, which uses the New Calendar, commemorates St. Lazar (or St. Lazarus) of Serbia on June 15 in the civil calendar. And it commemorates St. Irenaeus of Lyon on August 23 of the civil calendar. The Serbian Orthodox Church commemorates St. Irenaeus on September 5 of the civil calendar, which is August 23 in the Julian calendar.

So no important saint is left uncommemorated in either Orthodox church body.

We should ask Sts. Lazar, Irenaeus, and Vitus to pray for us. Give the point of my original post, we need all the heavenly help we can get!!!!

And today, being of Germanic heritage, I invoke +Boniface, Bishop of Mainz—another one of my heroes along with +Augustine, +Patrick, and +Athanasius.
