IMO if the police knew who beat up this man then they should have arrested him asap. I don’t care if his skin is purple. They didn’t have to wait 3 months. He was identified & should have been arrested that night.

SEATTLE -- Michael McBain had just returned home to his Capitol Hill condo with his wife when two steps inside, a complete stranger beat him unconscious. McBain was punched in the head and kicked in the face. "There was a big guy standing there, sort of blocking the door. And I guess I must have brushed past him," he said. It was St. Patrick's Day, 2009. On the same night, witnesses identified the man who had attacked McBain. That man, Joseph Hooks, was finally charged with the crime on Wednesday -- nearly three months after the attack. Prosecutors say it has taken them months to file the charges because they were compiling more compelling evidence against Hooks.
